Veterans Day Weekend Events at the Sgt. York State Historic Park November 9th-11th Pall Mall

Everyone is invited and encouraged to spend Veterans Day Weekend at Sgt. York Park in Pall Mall.  This year is the 100th Anniversary of the End of WWI, also known as the Great War.  This year marks the largest Living History, WWI re-enactment and Veterans Day Patriotic Ceremony the York Park has ever hosted!

From 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Saturday, there will be WWI battle re-enactments, WWI Airplanes and living history demonstrations on life during World War One.  Saturday night will feature live music from the era.  On Sunday the 11th, the WWI Airplanes will be flying and doughboys will be fiercely battling until all goes silent at 11:00 to mark the 100th anniversary of the end of WWI.  Fentress County is an official participant in the National Bells of Peace Tolling at 11:00, everyone that has a bell is asked to ring it for 1 minute at exactly 11:00 on 11/11 to commemorate the sacrifice and service of those souls 100 years ago on Sunday.

The Sgt. York Patriotic Foundation will host its annual Veterans Day Ceremony at 11:00 on Sunday November 11th to honor all the men and women who have served our wonderful country.  This year will feature the Noteworthy Choir and the JROTC cadets from York Agricultural Institute along with several honored guests, including the Commander of the Tennessee American Legion.  All Veterans will be recognized during the patriotic ceremony.
