Three arrests have been made in connection with the theft of an automobile and the breakin of a residence.

On Thursday, December 18, Sheriff Chucky Cravens reported that on December 15, Mr. Lowell Brown of 5472 Banner Springs Road reported that a 1998 Saturn 4-door automobile had been stolen from his property, and later that day, officers with the Fentress County and Morgan County Sheriff’s Department arrested a suspect, identified as Jazzdin Kyle Cooper, 23, in Morgan County in connection with that theft.

On December 17, the Fentress County Sheriff’s Department took a report of aggravated burglary at the residence of Mr. Elzie Wright on Hemlock Canyon Drive.  After speaking to witnesses who provided a description of a vehicle and a suspect, the Sheriff’s Department, along with Morgan County officers, went to a residence on Loop Road in Sunbright, where they recovered the vehicle stolen from the Lowell Brown residence, and recovered several stolen items in the vehicle which were linked to the Wright burglary.

A suspect, identified as Tristan Davidson of Morgan County, was arrested and charged with Theft Over $1,000.

Both Davidson and Cooper are being held in the Morgan County Jail for thefts and breakins for which they are charged there.  Sheriff Cravens said that as soon as Morgan County is through with them, they will be returned to Fentress County to answer charges here.

Sheriff Cravens also reported that an arrest had been made in connection with another vehicle theft which occurred in October.  He said that in October, Mr. Brian Shelton had allegedly stolen a 1999 Chevrolet ?Suburban from a location at 3321 South York Hwy.  Mr. Shelton had reportedly been hired as a manager of the property to oversee some mobile homes and collect rent on the units, but had been fired from the job by the owner on October 25.
