Senior Bulldogs With Impressive Win

Saturday, September 16, 2017 the Fentress County Senior Bulldogs hosted the Cookeville Senior Cavaliers and came away with an impressive 27-0 win. The Bulldog offense continued to rely on their strong running game, rushing for 221 yards and scored 4 touchdowns. The defense once again completely shut down their opponent holding the Cavaliers to 53 rushing yards and recovered 2 fumbles and intercepted a pass.

The Bulldogs received the opening kickoff and on the sixth play of the drive #21 Miller scored on a 15 yard run. They converted a pass from #10 Bilbrey to #21 Miller for a 2 point conversion. The Bulldogs led 8-0 with 4 minutes 36 seconds to go in the first quarter.

Bulldogs kicked off and held the Cavaliers to a three and out. The Cavalier defense stopped the Bulldog drive and took over on downs. On the first play of the drive the Cavaliers fumbled the ball and #91 King recovered for the Bulldogs. The first quarter ended with the Bulldogs leading 8-0. Bulldogs kicked off and forced another punt after three plays. The Bulldogs scored on the sixth play of the drive when #10 Bilbrey scored on a 1 yard run. Bulldogs led 21-0.

The Bulldogs kicked off to start the second half and after seven plays stopped the Cavaliers on downs. On the first play of the Bulldog drive #5 Leffew scored on a 60 yard run. Bulldogs led 27-0 with 2 minutes 47 seconds to go in the third quarter.

Bulldogs kicked off and held the cavaliers to a three and out. The third quarter ended with the Bulldogs leading 27-0.

The Bulldogs and the Cavaliers each had two possessions in the fourth quarter. The game ended with the Bulldogs winning 27-0.
