Pogue Creek Canyon Print Presented

In recognition of the efforts of Fentress County Executive Mike Cross and the County Commission in protecting the natural beauty of our area, in particular the Pogue Creek Canyon State Natural Area which was recently dedicated, a special presentation was made on Tuesday, January 20.

Steve Walsh, Director of Membership for the Tennessee Parks & Greenways Foundation, was in Jamestown on Tuesday to present County Executive Cross with a beautiful framed print of the Pogue Creek Canyon State Natural Area.

In making the presentation, Mr. Walsh commented:

“On behalf of the Tennessee Parks & Greenways Foundation, I would like to extend our special thanks to Executive Cross for his outstanding leadership in protecting the Pogue Creek Natural Area, and helping promote new trail and land conservation and tourism in Fentress County.  I also thank the Fentress County Commission for their support of and cooperation with our organization in preserving the natural beauty of our area.”

In accepting the print, Executive Cross commented:  “I accept this beautiful print on behalf the people of Fentress County and on behalf of the Fentress County Commission for their support and efforts to preserve the  bountiful natural beauty of the Fentress County area.
