Pleas Entered; Sentences Handed Down in Criminal Court June 16th

Criminal Court convened on Monday, June 16, 2014 in Fentress County with Judge Shayne Sexton on the bench, with 11 guilty pleas being entered, one probation revocation hearing held, and ten subjects arraigned on indictments which were returned on June 5.

Kenneth Beaty of 829 Crab Mtn. Road, Jamestown, pled guilty to the charge of Promotion of the Manufacture of Methamphetamine, and was ordered to serve 4 years in the Tennessee Department of Corrections.

Robert Crabtree of 122 Copley Lane, Jamestown, entered guilty pleas on charges of Theft Over $500, Theft Under $500 (2 counts) and Vandalism under $500, and was ordered to serve 2 years in the Tennessee Department of Corrections.

John Fields of 135 Buck Court, Crossville, pled guilty to the charge of Violation of the Habitual Motor Vehicle Offender Bar, and was ordered to serve 7 days in jail and was placed on probation for 2 years.

Chris Taylor of 1019 Lincoln Road, Jamestown, entered a guilty plea to charges of Theft Under $500 (3 counts) and was ordered to serve two consecutive 11 month/29-day sentenced in jail.

Jeffrey Clayborn of 305 Daisy Lane, Jamestown, pled guilty to charges of Felony Failure to Appear and Violation of the Sexual Offender Registration Law, and was given a 2-year sentence and ordered to serve 90 days in jail, and was placed on probation for 2 years.

Jason Hull of 1003 Lincoln Road, Jamestown, entered a guilty plea to the charge of Theft Over $10,000 and was ordered to make restitution of $20,000 and was placed on probation for 6 years.

Alvin J. Romero of 727 Oak Grove Road, Murfreesboro, TN, pled guilty to the charge of Promotion of the Manufacture of Methamphetamine and was sentenced to 3 years and ordered to serve one year in jail and was placed on probation for 5 years.

Josh Warden of 210 Whipporwill Court, Jamestown, entered a guilty plea to the charge of Promotion of the Manufacture of Methamphetamine, and was given a 3-year sentence, was ordered to serve 6 months in jail, and was placed on probation for 3 years.

Kathy Hatfield of 1151 Conatser Hollow Road, pled guilty to charges of Felony Failure to Appear and Theft Under $500 (2 counts) and was ordered to serve sentence in jail until entered into a drug rehab program, and was placed on probation for 2 years.

Nathan J. Payne of 1925 Roslin Road, Jamestown, entered a guilty plea to the charge of Theft Over $1,000, and was ordered to serve 30 days in jail, make $1,000 restitution, and was placed on probation for 2 years.
