Pleas Entered, Sentences Given In Criminal Court November 5

Criminal Court was held in Fentress County on Monday, November 9 before the Honorable Criminal Court Judge Shayne Sexton, with nineteen guilty pleas entered.

Joel Ryan Smith of Hwy. 127 North, Crossville, TN, entered a guilty plea to charges of Theft of Property Over $1,000, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Evading Arrest, and was sentenced to serve 3 years in the Tennessee Department of Corrections and was ordered to make restitution of $750.00.

Richard Lee Jones of Gum Branch Road, Jamestown, pled guilty to the charge of Possession of Schdeule II Controlled Substance — Morphone, and was sentenced  to 11 months and 29 days probation, ordered to pay court costs and fine of $750.00, and forfeiture of $250.00 to the Fentress County Sheriff’s Dept. Drug Fund.

Terry A. Shields II of Mitchell Lane, Jamestown, entered a guilty plea to the charge of Burglary of a Motor Vehicle and Theft Under $500, and was sentenced to serve 4 years in the Tennessee Department of Corrections.

William Dewayne Jackson pled guilty to charges of Aggravated Burglary, Theft of Property Over $1,000 and Vandalism Over $1,000, and was sentenced to serve 3 years in the Tennessee Department of Corrections and make restitution of $1,050.
