Pleas Entered, Probations Revoked In Criminal Court

Criminal Court was held in Fentress County on Monday, November 18 with Judge Shayne Sexton on the Bench, with fifteen guilty pleas entered and seven probation revocation hearings held.

Sammy Threet of 601 Fairgrounds Road, Jamestown pled guilty to charges of Theft Over $500, Forgery, Theft Under $500 (2 counts) and Evading Arrest, and was ordered to serve 2 years in jail, make restitution of $1,350,  and was placed on 2 years probation after completion of the 2-year sentence.

Ricky Brown of 2216 Deerlodge Hwy., Deerlodge, TN entered a guilty plea to the charge of Felonious Possession of Methamphetamine, and a sentencing hearing was set for January 27, 2014.

Sammy Gibson of 3193 Coon Hunter Lodge Road, Jamestown, pled guilty to charges of Burglary, Theft Over $500, and Obtaining Controlled Substance by Fraud, and was sentenced to serve 4 years in the Tennessee Department of Corrections.

Willard Tinch of 608 Barney Holt Road, Jamestown, entered a guilty plea to charges of Robbery and Promotion of the Manufacture of Methamphet-amine and was ordered to serve 2 years in jail on a 10 year sentence, followed by 8 years probation.

Peter Craig Rodriguez of 503 White Oak Street, Jamestown pled guilty to the charge of Sale of Schedule II Controlled Substance.  He was fined $2,000 and ordered to serve one year in jail on a 6-year sentence, after which he would be placed on probation for 5 years.

Mara Powers of 6603 South York Hwy., Clarkrange entered a guilty plea to charges of Child Neglect (2 counts), Possession of Schedule II Controlled Substance, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and was ordered to serve 160 days in jail, was placed on 4 years probation on a 4-year sentence, and was ordered to complete a long-term drug rehab program.
