Pleas Entered In Criminal Court

Criminal Court was held in Fentress County on Monday, November 10 before Judge Shayne Sexton, with several pleas being entered and sentences handed down.

James W. Garrett of 2035 Todd Road, Clarkrange entered a guilty plea to Violation of Probation, and was released on time served.

Jimmy Ray Duncan of 204 W. Loomis Road, Jamestown, pled guilty to the charge of Violation of Probation and was sentenced to serve 30 days in jail.

Phillip G. Stephens of 361 Stewart Springs, Smyrna, TN, entered a guilty plea to charges of Attempt to Introduce Controlled Substance Into Jail, Evading Arest, Simple Possession of Schedule III Controlled Substance, and Theft Over $500.  He was sentenced to serve 120 days in jail, was fined $750, and was placed on 5 years probation to be supervised by Community Corrections.

James K. Estes of 122 Windy Cut Street, Dowtown, TN, pled guilty to charges of Aggravated Assault (2 counts) Vandalism Over $1,000, and Felony Evading Arrest.  He was ordered to make restitution of $500 and was sentenced to serve 3 years in the Tennessee Department of Corrections.

Larry A. Ledbetter of 114 East Loomis Road, Jamestown entered a guilty plea to the charge of Violation of Sexual Offender Registration and was sentenced to serve 90 days in jail and was placed on 2 years probation to be supervised by Community Corrections.

Rickey Lee Rhodd, Jr of 113 West Hills Road, Jamestown, pled guilty to charges of Manufacture of Schedule I Controlled Substance and Manufacture in Excess of 10 plants of Marijuana.  He was sentenced to serve 9 months in jail, and was placed on probation for 8 years to be supervised by the TDOC.

Jacob D. Delk of 113 West Hills Road, Jamestown, entered a guilty plea to the charge of Manufacturing in Excess of 10 plants of Marijuana and was placed on 5 years probation to be supervised by TDOC.
