Pine Haven School Access Road Project Progresses

Anyone who has driven through the Pine Haven/York Institute/Community Center school zone during rush hour can attest to the consistent delays caused by the  traffic congestion. The double school zone (or triple if you include the Community Center, which houses Jamestown Head Start as well as a daycare) stretches for nearly a mile from end to end, and occupies the entirety of Main Street on the northern side of Jamestown. As bad as the traffic can be in the morning, it is often worse in the afternoon. Some parents have adopted the practice of arriving in excess of half an hour early in order to be able to pick up their child from school in a more timely manner.
