One Injured Friday In Shooting Incident

A shooting incident on Friday, April 6 in the Clarkrange community left one person injured and an elderly man taken into custody for evaluation.

Fentress County Sheriff Michael Reagon issued the following statement regarding the incident:

“At 3:14 p.m. on Friday, April 6, dispatch received a call to respond to 1026 Franklin Loop  where Mr. Junior Pritchett had barricaded himself inside his bedroom.  The kids had been trying to get him to come out all day.  When his daughter came home from work and was attempting to enter the house, Mr. Pritchett shot through the door, hitting her on her right hand and shoulder.

Officers arrived on the scene and got her into the living room, and while they were working to stop the bleeding, Mr. Pritchett fired another round inside the bedroom.
