A Jamestown man, identified as Charles Long, was injured Friday, June 8 when his motorcycle was struck by a Toyota Corolla, driven by Ernest Stewart, also of Jamestown.  The accident occurred at the intersection of North Norris and Church Street, when Mr. Stewart, who had stopped at the stop sign, failed to see the motorcycle and pulled into its path.  Mr. Long was transported by ambulance to the Jamestown Regional Medical Center for treatment and later transferred to U-T Hospital.  Mr. Stewart was cited for failure to yield right-of-way by Tennessee Highway Patrol Trooper Marty Brown, who was assisted at the scene by officers from the Jamestown Police Department, Jamestown Fire Department, Rescue Squad and Fentress Co. EMA.
