Cameron Cook, infant, passed away Thursday, October 24, 2013 at Ft. Sanders Medical Center in Knoxville.

Cameron is survived by parents, Christopher Cook III and Amber Schreckenbach; brother, Sean Cook; and grandparents, Vanessa and Jerry Savage, Christopher and Shannon Cook and Angela Mussared.

Graveside services were held Monday, October 28, 2013 at 12:00 p.m. at Taylor Place Cemetery with Bro. Christopher Cook officiating.

Billie S. Cravens, age 85, of Jamestown, passed away Saturday, October 19, 2013 at Jamestown Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Cravens was born June 2, 1928 in Jamestown, Tennessee.   She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Cravens is survived by four daughters, Patricia Clark and husband Dr. Richard Clark, Diana Bertram and Brian Balstad, Julianna Rador and husband Harvey and Karen Ruth Gibson and husband Ben; four sons, Joe Bertram and wife Diane, David Bertram, Julian Bertram, Jr. and Tom Bertram and Debra  Richards; fifteen grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; brother, I.K. “Buster” Stockton and wife Louise; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Mrs. Cravens was preceded in death by father, George L. Stockton; mother, Maude (Cantrell) Stockton; father of her children, Julian “Judd” Bertram; husband Arlin Cravens; sister, Georgia Patton; half-brother, Richard Stockton; adopted brother, Joe Turner; and two granddaughters, Toby Choate and April Brown.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Jennings Funeral Home with Bro. Fred Allred officiating.  Burial followed in the Stockton Cemetery.  Pallbearers included Glen Stockton, Ben Gibson, Jim Stockton, Ben Bertram, Josh Clark and Jake Slone.

Jennings Funeral Home of Jamestown, Tennessee was in charge of services.

Michael Dodson age 37, of Jamestown, passed away Sunday, October 27, 2013.

Mr. Dodson is survived by his parents, Norma and Gary Dodson; five children,  Makayla, Whitney, Tiffany, Micheal Jr. and Maddison; and brother, William Dodson.

Grave side services were held Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. in the Kubley Cemetery.

Charles Hicks, age 70, of Jamestown, passed away Monday, October 21, 2013 at his home.

Mr. Hicks was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Mr. Hicks is survived by wife, Glenna Hicks; three sons, Mark Hicks and wife Kim, Johnny Hicks and wife Michelle and Jimmy Hicks; two step-sons, Ronnie Riddle and wife Kris and Randy Riddle and wife Refa; step-daughter, Rhonda and Junior Shaw; twelve grandchildren; four sisters, Betty Wright, Helen Thompson, Birdie Fordham and Lubetta Adams; and special friends, Danny and Sue Hall.

Mr. Hicks was preceded in death by parents, Hudson and Opal Watson Hicks; infant son, Anthony Hicks; and brother, Jerry Lee Hicks.

The family has chosen cremation.  A military service will be conducted at a later date at the Elm Ridge Cemetery in Muncie, Indiana.

Luther T. Hinds, age 76, of Crossville, passed away Friday, October 25, 2013 at Cumberland Medical Center.

Mr. Hinds was born September 29, 1937 in Little Crab, Tennessee.  He was an electronic technician/aviation.

Mr. Hinds is survived by wife, Edith Elizabeth (London) Hinds; daughter, Lisa Hinds; four grandchildren; two brothers, Arnold Hinds and wife Pat and Harlon Buck and wife Linda; and two sisters, Phoebe Andrews and husband Rick and Dean Phillips and husband George.

Mr. Hinds was preceded in death by father, Guy Hinds; mother, Martha (Pritchett) Hinds Buck; step-father, Gordan Buck; and two sisters, Clata Thiel and Sonnie Ledbetter.

Funeral services were held Monday, October 28, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. in the Clarkrange Chapel of Jennings Funeral Home with Bro. Scott Monday officiating.  Burial followed in the Fairview Cemetery.  Pallbearers included Jordan Colvin, Steve Ledbetter, Jeff Hinds, Stan Burton, Kevin Ledbetter, Brian Richmond and Michael London.

Edith Jo (Dillon) Jenkins, age 92, of Grimsley, passed away Thursday, October 24, 2013 at Signature HealthCARE of Fentress County.

Mrs. Jenkins was born April 6, 1921 in Wilder, Tennessee.  She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Jenkins is survived by daughter, Judy Murphy and husband Damon of Monterey; four sons, Tom Jenkins, Steve Jenkins both of Grimsley, Bill Jenkins and wife Marsha of Murfreesboro and Sam Jenkins of Clarkrange; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Mrs. Jenkins was preceded in death by husband, Arthur “Bunt” Jenkins; son, Arthur “Junebug” Jenkins, Jr.; father, Milton Dillon; mother, Mary (Hood) Dillon; and two brothers, Arnold Dillon and Bill Dillon.

Funeral services were held Sunday, October 27, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the Clarkrange Chapel of Jennings Funeral Home with Bro. Sammie Dunford officiating.  Burial followed in the Dillon Family Cemetery in Wilder, TN.  Pallbearers included Robert S. Arms Sr., Colby Jenkins, Garrett Jenkins, Dylan Jenkins, Dalton Jenkins and Jesse Jenkins.

Dorothy Ethel Reagan, age 84, of Muncie, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at Liberty Village in Muncie following a brief illness.

Mrs. Reagan was born September 19, 1929 in Jamestown, Tennessee, a daughter of the late Dewey and Arlena Beaty. She attended schools in Little Crab, Tennessee. She was employed at Anchor- Hocking Corporation in Winchester as a box assembler retiring in 1978. She was a 50 year member of the Eastern Star Chapter in Jamestown.  Ethel enjoyed quilting, raising her garden, canning, thrift store shopping and listening to Bluegrass music.  Ethel loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.  She was a member of the Avondale Sympathy Club and attended True Light Baptist Church both in Muncie.

Mrs. Reagan is survived by three sons, Rodney (wife: Debbie) Reagan of Crescent City, Florida, Stanley “Butch” Reagan of Jamestown and Denton Reagan of Muncie; six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren;  her sister, Stella Winningham of Jamestown; a daughter-in-law, Charlotte Delk of Muncie and two special friends, Agnes Sebring of Winchester and Betty Cooper of Eaton.

Mrs. Reagan, in addition to her parents, was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Reagan; son, James Ronnie Delk; and four brothers.

Funeral services were held at 12:00 p.m. Monday, October 28, 2013 at the Fellowship Baptist Church in Muncie with Pastor Ron Elam officiating.

Funeral services were also held at 1:00 p.m. (CDT) Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at the Bible Methodist Church on Taylor Place Road in Jamestown, Tennessee with Rev. Chester Rhoad officiating.  Burial followed in Hickory Hill Cemetery in Jamestown.

Sproles Family Funeral Home in New Castle, Indiana was in charge of services.

 

ROBERT O. REAGAN

Robert O. Reagan, age 82 of Luther, passed away Tuesday, October 15, 2013 in McBain.

Mr. Reagan was born March 27, 1931 in Jamestown, Tennessee and moved to the Brighton, MI area in 1950 at the age of 19.  He was employed with the Huron-Clinton Metro Parks Service until his retirement in 1989 when the family moved to the Luther area.  He was a member of the Wexford County Sheriff’s Posse who enjoyed trail riding horses with his daughter and horse pulling contests.

Mr. Reagan is survived by his wife, Marie Reagan; daughter, Rebekah Reagan step-daughter, Linda Kitchen; step-sons, Jason (Cindy) Hughes and Jim Kitchen; four grandchildren; five great grandchildren; cousin, Huel (Sally) Reagan; and aunt, Beat Reagan.

Funeral services were held Saturday, October 26, 2013 in the Chapel of Pruitt-Livingston Funeral Home.  Burial followed at Dover Twp. Cemetery in Bristol.

Corwin Tompkins, age 92, of the Armathwaite Community, passed away Monday, October 21, 2013 at Signature HealthCARE of Fentress County.

Mr. Tompkins was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church and a veteran during WW2.  He served in General Patton’s 3rd U.S. Army and received the Purple Heart for injuries received in France.

Mr. Tompkins is survived by son, Randall Tompkins and wife Carolyn of Maryville, TN; brother, L.D. Tompkins and wife Veta of Jamestown; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one step-great-grandchild.

Mr. Tompkins was preceded in death by parents, John and Florence Peters  Tompkins; first wife and mother of his son, Stella Bow Tompkins; second wife, Sylvia Goad Tompkins; five brothers, Virgil, Lawrence, Clarence, Everett and Willis Tompkins; and three sisters, Donnie Tompkins, Danzie Voiles and Wilda Bridges.

Funeral services were held Thursday, October 24, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Fellowship Baptist Church with Bro. Payton Slaven and Bro. Daniel Parker officiating.  Burial followed in the Fellowship Cemetery with military services conducted at grave side.  Pallbearers included Ronnie Tompkins, Keith Tompkins, Clell Tompkins, Duane Voiles, Conald Bridges and Ritchie Tompkins.

Nathan Voiles, age 54, of Allardt, passed away Friday, October 25, 2013 at Masters Health Care Center.

Mr. Voiles was born June 26, 1959 in Scott County, Tennessee.  He was a butcher.

Mr. Voiles is survived by son, Jeremiah Voiles of Jamestown; mother, Lucille Lorrene (Chitwood) Voiles of Jamestown; sister, Sandra K. Tompkins and husband Keith of Allardt; two brothers, Lanny C. Voiles of Nashville and Tommy Joe Voiles and wife Paula of Oneida; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Mr. Voiles was preceded in death by father, Cecil Voiles; and grandparents, Elda and Sarah (Tompkins) Voiles and Arthur and Hettie (Bridges) Chitwood.

Funeral services were held Sunday, October 27, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Jennings Funeral Home with Bro. Brian Tompkins officiating.  Burial followed in the Fellowship Cemetery.  Pallbearers included Lance Voiles, Andy Tompkins, Scott Kirby Sr., Scott Kirby Jr., Stephen Webb, Justin Elmore, Cody Hamby and John Dixon.
