Billy Lee Brannon, age 71, of Mount Dora, Florida formerly of Jamestown, passed away Saturday, June 14, 2014 at Florida Hospital Waterman.

Mr. Brannon was born September 3, 1942 in Gary, Indiana. He worked in the Produce/Grocery Industry.

Mr. Brannon was survived by wife, Barbara (Ramsey) Brannon of Mount Dora, Florida; son, Hank Lee Brannon of Mount Dora, Florida; brother Joe Brannon and wife Louise of Texas; sister, Nancy Kay Brannon of Florida; four brothers-in-law, W. G. Ramsey and late wife Annie Myrtle, Henry Ramsey and wife Dollie, Elmer Ramsey and wife Ruby and Joe Ramsey and wife Judy; three sisters-in-law, Yevone Ramsey and late husband Johny, Jean Richards and late husband Shelby and Alice Rawls and late husband John.

Mr. Brannon was preceded in death by father, Ernest Brannon; mother, Lorene (Howell) Brannon-Pollock and sister, Barbara Brannon.

Graveside services was held Thursday, June 19, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at the Springs Chapel Cemetery with Military service provided by the Jamestown American Legion Post 137.

Betty Jean Winningham-Clark

Betty Jean Winningham-Clark, age 78, of Muncie, Indiana, passed away Monday, June 23, 2014 at Indiana University Ball Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Clark was born April 3, 1936 in Jamestown, Tennessee. Mrs. Clark was a member of the Gloryland United Baptist Church and the Avondale Sympathy Club. She was a member of the Gloryland Gospel Singers and sang and traveled for the Lord.

Mrs. Clark is survived by her husband of over sixty years, Ray Clark; four sons, Glenn Clark and wife Marcia of Frost Proof, Florida, Ronnie Clark and wife Kathy of Baxter, Tennessee, Rickey Clark and wife Beth of Burnsville, Minnesota and Donald Clark and wife Robin of Nashville, Tennessee; five grandchildren, Fallon, Gunner, Nicholas, Kaitlyn, and Wyatt Clark; a great-grandchild, Casin Clark; brother, James Winningham and wife Phyllis of Muncie; sister, Bessie Cooper of Jamestown, Tennessee; and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Clark was preceded in death by her father, Barney Winningham; mother, Hattie (Cooper) Winningham; brother, Junior Winningham and sister, Kathy Winningham.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 26, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Parson Mortuary with Pastor Danny Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in the Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Friends may call at Parson Mortuary on Wednesday, June 25, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. or one hour prior to time of service on Thursday.

Woodrow Cooper Jr., age 68 of Jamestown, passed away Sunday, June 15, 2014 at Jamestown Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Cooper was born September 8, 1945 in Fentress County, Tennessee. He was a barber.

Mr. Cooper is survived by three sons, Gary Allen Cooper of Murfreesboro, Kerry Conway Cooper of Jamestown and Terry Cooper of Jamestown; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brother, Frank David Cooper of Jamestown; five sisters, Betty Cravens of Jamestown, Dean Johnson of Jamestown, Orene Johnson of Jamestown, Peggy Linder of Murfreesboro and Elaine Smithson of Jamestown.

Mr. Cooper was preceded in death by father, Woodrow Cooper; mother, Sadie (Choate) Cooper; two sisters Joyce Warden and Patty Hatfield.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Jennings Funeral Home with Bro. Bradley Bowden and Bro. Oney Wright officiating. Burial followed in the Coopertown Cemetery. Active pallbearers included Seth Cooper, Ronnie Johnson, Robbie Johnson, Gary Cravens, Jeff Warden, Jason Bowden, Richard Cooper and Ralph Carlton. Honorary pallbearer was Ralph Bowden.

Leo Flowers, age 77, of Jamestown, passed away Thursday, June 19, 2014 at Jamestown Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Flowers was born August 10, 1936 in Armathwaite, Tennessee. He worked in retail sales.

Mr. Flowers is survived by wife of fifty years, Geraldine (Brannon) Flowers of Jamestown; brother Larry Smith and wife Judy of Allardt; sister, Ina Lowery of Athens, Tennessee; two sisters-in-law, Joyce Hutson of Jamestown and Christine Parker and husband Cordell of Brentwood, Tennessee; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Mr. Flowers was preceded in death by father, Dewey Flowers; mother, Lizzie Mae (Zachary) Flowers; step-father John Smith; sister, Irene Voiles; brother, Lowell Flowers; father-in-law, Elmer Brannon; mother-in-law, Sylvia (Turner) Brannon; two brothers-in-law, Frank Lowery and Sharon Voiles.

Funeral services were held Sunday, June 22, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Jennings Funeral Home with Bro. Anthony Creselious officiating. Burial followed in the Fentress Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers included Casey Shelton, Brandon Tompkins, Dustin Garrett, Logan Terry, Kris Terry and Joe Garrett.

Pat Garrett, age 64, of Clarkrange, passed away Thursday, June 19, 2014 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Garrett was born September 23, 1949 in Dayton, Ohio. She was a Butcher.

Mrs. Garrett is survived by two sons, Rodney Henderson Garrett of Jamestown and Eddie Garrett, Jr. and wife Beth of Crossville; daughter, Tammy LaRue and husband Jerry of Clarkrange; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sister, Joyce Powell of Brookville, Ohio; brother, Ron Putterbaugh of Brookville, Ohio; two sisters, Sharron Alsop of Brookville, Ohio and Mary Porter of Texas; and father of her children, Carl Garrett of Clarkrange.

Mrs. Garrett was preceded in death by father, Sylvester Putterbaugh and mother, Mary Jane (Pearson) Putterbaugh.

Visitation will be held Saturday, June 28, 2014 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Clarkrange Baptist Church. A memorial service will follow at 3:00 p.m. with Bro. Dean Patton officiating.

Silvia Ann McCann, age 78, of the Banner Community, passed away Saturday, June 14, 2014 at Jamestown Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. McCann was born December 4, 1935 in Bronx, New York. She was a Physical Therapist.

Mrs. McCann is survived by two sons, Brenden McCann and friend Mary of Grimsley, John McCann of New York; three grandchildren, Dillon, Delaney and Sean McCann; and sister, Bernadette Cinguina of New York.

Mrs. McCann was preceded in death by husband, Eugene McCann; father, Thomas Dowling; and mother, Sarah (Feeney) Dowling.

A memorial service is to be held at a later date at the Holy Rood Cemetery in West Bury, New York.

Randy Lee Weaver, age 48 of Jamestown, passed away Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at Cumberland Medical Center.

Mr. Weaver was born March 11, 1966 in Fentress County, Tennessee. He was a mail carrier.

Mr. Weaver is survived by wife Gail (Beaty) Weaver of Jamestown; father, George Weaver of Jamestown; mother, Kathy (Copeland) Weaver of Jamestown; two daughters, Ashley Rene Gunter of Tennessee and Chelsea Alyn Weaver of Kingston; three sons, Dustin Lee Weaver and wife Heather of Deer Lodge, Zachary Shea Weaver of Jamestown and Jordan Seth Weaver of Jamestown; three grandchildren, Aayden Dale Gunter, Hendrix Dray Gunter and Emerson Jade Weaver; sister, Karen Sue Weaver of Jamestown and nephew, Dagen Paris Doss.

Mr. Weaver was preceded in death by infant sister, Rhonda Weaver.

A memorial service was held Saturday, June 21, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Jennings Funeral Home with Bro. Daryl Rains officiating.

Gary Dale Hull, age 59, of Clarkrange, passed away Friday, May 2, 2014 in Chattanooga, TN.

Mr. Hull was born September 22, 1954 in Detroit, Michigan.

Mr. Hull is survived by his aunt, Patsy Farley of Clarkrange and a host of aunts, uncles and other family.

Mr. Hull was preceded in death by his father, Glen Hull and mother, Lunell (Farley) Hull.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, June 28, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the Clarkrange Chapel of Jennings Funeral Home with Bro. Buddy Edwards officiating. Burial will follow in the Taylor Place Cemetery.

Martin Kulp, age 29 of Grimsley, passed away Monday, June 16, 2014 at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville, TN.

Mr. Kulp was the owner of MK Roofing and Construction.

Mr. Kelp is survived by his wife, Miranda Martin Kulp; mother, Virginia Kulp; sisters, Lizzie Kulp and Anna Martin; and brothers, Manasseh, Caleb, George, and Herb Kulp.

Mr. Kulp was preceded in death by his father, George Kulp.

Funeral services were held Thursday, June 19, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at the Mt. Zion Mennonite Church with officiating Ministers: Joseph Yoder, Harlan Garber, Thomas Schlabach and Marion Garber. Burial followed in the Mt. Zion Mennonite Church Cemetery. Pallbearers included Manasseh Kulp, Caleb Kulp, Herb Kulp, George Kulp, Dennis W. Martin, and Wesley Martin.
