Joyse Choate, age 66, of Jamestown,TN, passed away Friday, February 19, 2016 at the Overton Co. Nursing Home.

Mrs. Choate was born February 14, 1950 in Blue Stone, KY. She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Choate is survived by husband, Don Choate; daughters, Ronica Choate, Cheryl Choate-Hinds and husband, Billy; brothers, Dennis Bragg and wife, Jessie, Larry Bragg and wife, Linda, Terry Bragg and wife, Tammy; sisters, Gladys Toy, Lucy Oyer and Wanda Becraft; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Mrs. Choate was preceded in death by father, Allie Bragg; mother, Rececca (Jones)  Bragg; son, Austin Edward Choate; several brothers and sisters.

Funeral services were held Monday, February 22, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in Jennings Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Dale Cox officiating. Burial followed in the Fentress Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers included Don Choate, Tony Choate, Henry Choate, Billy Joe Hinds, Jimmy Choate, Billy Jennings, Sr., and Billy Jennings, Jr. Honorary pallbearer was Billy Ray Hinds.

Jennings Funeral Home of Jamestown, Tennessee was in charge of the services.

Gene Copeland, age 75, of Allardt, TN,  passed away Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Copeland was born September 24, 1940 in Overton Co., TN. He was an auto mechanic.

Mr. Copeland is survived by wife, Pauline (Wright) Copeland; brothers, Kenneth Copeland and wife, Audrey and Clinton Copeland; sisters, Helen Brewer, Kathy Weaver and husband, George and Carolyn Rains and husband, Daryl; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Mr. Copeland was preceded in death by father, Paris Copeland; mother, Elva (Beaty) Copeland; and sister, Ola Robbins.

Funeral services were held Friday, February 19, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in Jennings Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Daryl Rains officiating. Burial followed in the Fentress Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers included Red Bowden, Gary Dedmon, Steve Copeland, Keith Copeland, Billy Copeland, Donnie Crabtree, James Adams, Donnie Copeland and Michael Robbins.

Lorita J. Gregory

Lorita J. Gregory, age 73, of Clarkrange, TN, passed away Sunday, February 14, 2016 at Jamestown Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Gregory is survived by son, Jackie Gregory; daughter, Gaye Smith and husband, Dr. Richard D. Smith; grandchildren, B.J. York and wife, Casey, Adam York and wife, Taylor, Missy Adkins and husband, David and Cory Smith; great-grandchildren, Millie, Jack, Kyla and Lauryn.

Mrs. Gregory was preceded in death by husband, Jack Gregory; parents, Onie and Dora Sewell Nance; and sister, Jeral Dean Burgess.

Memorial service was held Friday, February 19, 2016 at 12:00 p.m. at the Roanoke United Methodist Church with Bro. Micah Dunford officiating.

Mundy Funeral Home of Jamestown, Tennessee was in charge of the arrangements.

Daniel A. “Danny” Hogue

Daniel A. “Danny” Hogue age 60 of Livingston, TN passed away on Saturday morning, February 20, 2016 at the Overton County Health and Rehab in Livingston.

Mr. Daniel A. “Danny” Hogue was born on August 13, 1955 in Tallahassee, Florida to the late Alvin and Anna Mae (Danner) Hogue.

Survivors include one sister: Shelia Walker of Jamestown, TN and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Hogue was preceded in death by wife, Della Boles Hogue; one sister: Kathryn Cates.

The family of Mr. Daniel A. “Danny” Hogue has chosen cremation. A Memorial Service will be planned at a later date.

Jerry Peavyhouse

Jerry Peavyhouse, age 68 of Jamestown, TN, passed away Monday, February 15, 2016 at Jamestown Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Peavyhouse is survived by wife, Betty Peavyhouse; mother, Pauline Peavyhouse; daughters, Jennifer Peavyhouse and Renia Guffey and husband, Charles; step-daughter, Cheryl Stephens; brother, Hugh Peavyhouse and wife, Cindy; sisters, Charlotte Peavyhouse Garrett and Sue Smith and husband, Kenny; grandchildren, Seth, Tristan, and  Pacey Pyle and Kelly Jones; three great-grandchildren.

Mr. Peavyhouse was preceded in death by father, Arnold Peavyhouse; and nephew, Andy Garrett.

Funeral services were held Thursday, February 18, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at the Mundy Funeral Home  with Bro. Ray Cooper officiating. Burial followed in the Hinds Cemetery. A Military service was conducted at the grave by the American Legion Post 137. Pallbearers included Seth Pyle, Tristan Pyle, Pacey Pyle, Anthony Stephens, Trenton Stephens, Chris Wright, Jim Peavyhouse and Richard Choate.

Allen Walker, age 76, of Grimsley, TN, passed away Saturday, February 13, 2016 at Jamestown Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Walker was born April 10, 1939 in Alcoa, TN. He worked in construction as a roofer.

Mr. Walker is survived by wife, Linda Hoover; sons, Aaron Hoover, Kenny Hoover, Rocky Hoover; daughter, Annette Ford; five grandchildren; brother, James Walker; sister, Imogene Williams.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in Jennings Funeral Home Clarkrange Chapel with Bro. Ed Walker officiating. Burial followed in a Private Family Cemetery in Grimsley, TN. Pallbearers included Aaron Hoover, Kenny Hoover, Richard White, Justice White, Walter Daughtery, and Curtis Watson.
