Thelma Lea Beasley, age 86, of Pall Mall, passed away Saturday, July 20, 2013 at Signature HealthCARE of Fentress County.

Mrs. Beasley was born September 8, 1926 in Pall Mall, Tennessee.  She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Beasley is survived by five brothers, Travis Gale York, Cletis York, James Howard York all of Pall Mall, Eugene Ray York of Indianapolis, IN and Roger York and wife Barbara of Jamestown; two sisters, Nora Adrene Owens of Greenwood, IN and Mary Chestlene Adams of Atlanta, GA; thirty nieces and nephews; fifty-six great nieces and nephews; and seven great-great- nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Beasley was preceded in death by husband, Lonnie Beasley; father, Robert D. York; mother, Annie Lea (Williams) York; and brother, James Willie York.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Jennings Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Allen officiating.  Burial followed in the Wolf River Cemetery.  Pallbearers included Steven York, Gary York, Michael York, Shane York, Jeff Owens, Devon Veerkamp, Matthew Veerkamp and William Patton.

Jennings Funeral Home of Jamestown, Tennessee was in charge of services.

Eugenia Draughn, age 71, of Pioneer, Tennessee, passed away Thursday, July 18, 2013 at her home.

Mrs. Draughn was born June 7, 1942 in Scott County, Tennessee.  She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Draughn is survived by daughter, Denise Byrd and husband Eugene of Pioneer, TN; son, Frankie Shoemaker of Sunbright; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Gregory Dean Potter and Dale E. Potter; and sister, Joann Hughett and husband Roscoe.

Mrs. Draughn was preceded in death by husband, Donald Draughn; father, Leon Potter; mother, Margaret (Newport) Potter; son, Dennis Shoemaker; six brothers, David Ray Potter, Phillip Gary Potter, Charles Potter, William Boyce Potter, James Douglas Potter and Robert Darrell Potter; and three sisters, Joy L. Potter, Leona Garrett and Gay Lynn Potter.

Funeral services were held Sunday, July 21, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Jennings Funeral Home with Bro. Doran Nance officiating.  Burial followed in the Crockett Cemetery.  Pallbearers included Anthony Cooper, Robert Cooper, James Gluff, Jeff Reagan, Johnny Dishman and Jonathan Moses.

Jennings Funeral Home of Jamestown, Tennessee was in charge of services.

Margie Hancock, age 86, of Jamestown, passed away Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Hancock was born December 4, 1926 in Baldwin County, Georgia.  She was a factory worker.

Mrs. Hancock is survived by son, Paul Smallwood of Jamestown; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.

Mrs. Hancock was preceded in death by husband, Woody Hancock; father, James Brookins; mother, Myrtle Lou (Eubanks) Brookins; two daughters, Peggy Hinds and Carol Hinds; son, Danny Smallwood; two grandsons, Frankie Hinds and Aaron Hinds; brother, Joseph  Brookins; and sister, Francis Moore.

Funeral services were held Friday, July 19, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Jennings  Funeral Home with Bro. Gale Hartley and Bishop Charles Dungan officiating.  Burial followed in the Fentress Memorial Gardens.  Active pallbearers included Jimmy Wayne Sweet, Jerry Sweet, Eddie Lee Conatser, Frank Stokes, Josh Osborne, Jeremy Ford, Kodey Ford and Kyle Stockton.  Honorary pallbearers included Ruble Conatser, Shelby Cooper and Sheldon Cooper.

Jennings Funeral Home of Jamestown, Tennessee was in charge of services.

 

DIANNA MCKINNEY PUGH

Dianna McKinney Pugh, age 49, of Monterey, passed away Sunday, July 21, 2013 at her home.

Mrs. Pugh was born January 26, 1964 in Elizabeth, New Jersey.  She was a sales clerk.  She attended the Church of God.  She loved flowers especially Lilies.

Mrs. Pugh is survived by husband, “Buddy” James Martin Pugh of Monterey; mother, Rosie Bennett Milam of Grimsley; two daughters, Amanda McKinney of Jamestown and Brittney McKinney of Cookeville; son, Raymond McKinney of Jamestown; six grandchildren; two step-daughters, Jenny England of Sparta and Jamie Brown of Bellefonte, PA; sister, Tonia Wright of Grimsley; and two brothers, William Milam of Grimsley and Ishmeal Milam of Jamestown.

Mrs. Pugh is preceded in death by father, Paul Milam.

Visitation will be held Thursday, July 25, 2013 at Goff Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Funeral services will be held Friday, July 26, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Goff Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Kirby and Bro. Bobby Floyd officiating.  Burial will follow in the Springs Chapel Cemetery.
