EUGENE CONATSER

Eugene Conatser, age 62, of Grimsley, passed away Thursday, April 18, 2013 at Jamestown Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Conatser was born May 7, 1950.

Mr. Conatser is survived by wife, Brenda Summers; mother, Helen Conatser; two sons, Eugene Conatser and wife April and Paul Conatser; daughter, Crystal Conatser; two step-children, Michael Beaty and wife Ashley and Stephanie Smith; two brothers, Robert Conatser and Noble Conatser and wife Cindy; sister, Phyllis Smith and husband Harold; and six grandchildren.

Mr. Conatser was preceded in death by brother, Melvin Conatser.

Funeral services were held Sunday, April 21, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Mundy Funeral Home with Bro. Johnny Rexroat officiating.  Burial followed in the Young Cemetery.  Pallbearers included Noble Conatser, Robert Conatser, McKael Conatser, Glen Rexroat, Michael Beaty and Rodney Insco.

Mundy Funeral Home of Jamestown, Tennessee was in charge of services.

 

 

BILLY KOGER

Billy Koger, age 67, of Jamestown, passed away Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Koger was born July 1, 1945 in Pickett County, Tennessee. He was a carpenter.

Mr. Koger is survived by wife, Johnnie Bill (Hood) Koger of Jamestown; son, Jason Koger and wife Sheena of Jamestown; daughter, Talitha Koger of Jamestown; three brothers, Charlie Koger of Jamestown, Bobby Koger and wife Vicky of Tompkinsville, KY and Benny Koger and wife Nell of Jamestown; and two sisters, Maudean Slaven and husband Harold and Georgia Delk of Jamestown.

Mr. Koger was preceded in death by father, Major Koger; mother, Ocie (Stinson) Koger; and three sisters, Glenna Colene Miller, Linnie Dodson and Mary Koger.

Funeral services were held Friday, April 19, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Jennings Funeral Home with Bro. Payton Slaven and Bro. Harold Slaven officiating.  Burial followed in the Travisville Cemetery in Pickett County.  Pallbearers included Robbie Koger, Rodney Koger, Payton Slaven, James Slaven, Nathan Slaven and Danny Hayes. Denton Tinch was honorary pallbearer.

Jennings Funeral Home of Jamestown, Tennessee was in charge of services.

 

 

SELDA RAE  (JONES) POOR

Selda Rae (Jones) Poor, age 74, of Byrdstown, passed away Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at Livingston Regional Hospital.

Mrs. Poor was born May 15, 1938 in London, Kentucky.  She was a house cleaner.  She was a member of the Providence Church in Jamestown, Tennessee.

Mrs. Poor is survived by three daughters, Lesa Botkin of Muncie, IN, Lyn Becht and husband Dave of Georgetown, IN and Dianna Bryant of Georgetown, IN; three sons, Jerry Poore and wife Teresa of Pall Mall, Joe Poor and wife Teresa of Muncie, IN and Michael Poore of Byrdstown, TN; four sisters, Pauline Wills of Muncie, IN, Brenda Salyer and Patsy Mayse both of Jamestown and Sharon Wills of Muncie, IN; three brothers, Bill Jones and Harold Jones of Muncie, IN and Cleon Jones of Jamestown; sixteen grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; and other nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

Mrs. Poor was preceded in death by parents, Bradley and Selma Jones; husband, Norman Charles Poor; two grandchildren, Justin and Carrie Ervin; brother, Bradley Jones, Jr. Funeral services were held Friday, April 19, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Brown Funeral Chapel with Bro. Matthew Kerney officiating.  Burial followed in the Williams Chapel Cemetery.  Pallbearers included Chris Bryant, Greg Bryant, Brad Bryant, Nicholas Poore, John Kennedy and Timothy Hodge, Jr.

Brown Funeral Chapel of Byrdstown, Tennessee was in charge of services.

 

AJ-Rosenbaum-PicA.J. ROSENBAUM

A.J. Rosenbaum, age 88, of Jamestown, passed away Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at Signature HealthCARE of Fentress County.

Mr. Rosenbaum was born July 15, 1924 in Scott County, Tennessee.  He was a truck driver.

Mr. Rosenbaum is survived by wife, Lois (Dalton) Rosenbaum of Jamestown; daughter, Margaret Crabtree of Senoia, GA; son, Marshall Rosenbaum of Kingston Springs, TN; nine grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; and ten great-great-grandchildren.

Mr. Rosenbaum was preceded in death by father, Edward Rosenbaum; mother, Maudie (Bertram) Rosenbaum; five brothers, Don Rosenbaum, Roy Rosenbaum, Frank Rosenbaum, Raymond Ward and Dorman Rosenbaum; and two sisters, Sylvia Copeland and Clara Lane.

Funeral services were held Saturday, April 20, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Jennings Funeral Home with Bro. Daryl Rains officiating.  Burial followed in the Allardt Cemetery.  Pallbearers included Michael Avery, Mike Avery, Eddie Rosenbaum, Donnie Rosenbaum, Steven Avery, Doug Binkley and Kevin Wimpey.

Theodore M. Wells, age 65, of Grimsley, Tennessee, passed away October 2, 2012.

Mr. Wells was born December 14, 1946.

A service and celebration of his life will be held Saturday, April 27, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the American Legion Post 137 in Jamestown, Tennessee.  All are welcome to attend.  A reception to follow service.
