Daniel Ray Brown, age 32 of Jamestown, passed away Sunday, September 17, 2017 at Tennova Healthcare-Jamestown.

Mr. Brown was born March 15, 1985 in Crossville, TN. He worked as 911 Dispatcher.

Mr. Brown is survived by wife, Lucy Franklin-Brown; father, Johny Ray Brown; brother, Adam Brown; sister, Sherry Brown Crabtree and husband, Allen; special niece, Lilly Taylor; nieces and nephews, Riley, Garet, Benton, Emma and Morgan; grandparents, Bud and Nell Pendergrass; and a host of aunts, uncles, other family and friends.

Mr. Brown was preceded in death by mother, Sandra Lynn (Pendergrass) Brown; grandparents, John Benton and Emma Brown; and a host of aunts, uncles and other family.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Jennings Funeral Homes Chapel with Bro. James Bilbrey and Bro. Randy Smith officiating. Pallbearers included Josh Hurst, Brad Holt, Michael Taylor, Johnnie Mills, Richard Cross, Michael Reagon, Allen Crabtree, Wesley Bilbrey, Jason Gunter, Adam Brown, Rick Pedigo, and David Brown.

Pete Dishmon

Pete Dishmon, age 64 of Jamestown, passed away Thursday, September 21, 2017 at U.T. Medical Center.

Mr. Dishmon was born October 25, 1952 in Fentress Co., TN. He was a farmer.

Mr. Dishmon is survived by sisters, Linda Jo Hall & husband, Dale of Sparta and Brenda Dishmon-Griffith of Sparta; brothers, Randall Dishmon of Sparta and Daniel Dishmon and wife, Diane of McMinnville; several nieces, nephews, other family and friends; special friend, Anna Marie Hayes of Jamestown; best friends, Gary & Doris Harris of Jamestown.

Mr. Dishmon was preceded in death by father, Onie Eugene Dishmon and mother, Wilda (Cobb) Dishmon.

Memorial services will be held Sunday, October 1, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Sharp Place Cemetery.

Richard “Fluff” Hayes

Richard “Fluff” Hayes, age 42, of Alexandria, formerly of Jamestown, passed away Sunday, September 17, 2017 at his home.

Mr. Hayes was born March 2, 1975 in Jamestown, TN. He operated heavy equipment in excavating.

Mr. Hayes is survived by wife, Chasity (Smith) Hayes; daughter, Kenzie Hayes; step-daughter, Danielle Reed; step-son, Hunter Reed; father, Danny Hayes; mother, Janice (Flowers) Fischer; grandson, Bentley Glenn; sister, Ester Hayes and grandmother, Lola Flowers.

Mr. Hayes was preceded in death by grandparents, Shirlie P. & Ollie Hayes; and grandfather, Ward Flowers.

Funeral services were held Thursday, September 21, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Jennings Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Denver Davis and Bro. Bruce Dunford officiating. Burial followed in the Fentress Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers included Nathan Fisher, Hunter Reed, Junior Ledbetter, Allen Draughn, Roderick Upchurch, Brian Nicholas, Blake Keith, and Jeff Flowers.

Roger Harold Hammonds

Roger Harold Hammonds, age 46, of Grimsley, passed away Thursday, September 21, 2017 at Hospice of Cumberland County.

Mr. Hammonds was born April 28, 1971 in Jamestown, TN. He was a truck driver.

Mr. Hammonds is survived by wife, Sonya (Bertram) Hammonds; step-son, Seth Allen Bertram; son, Roger Lee Hammonds and wife, Ashlee; father, Harold Lawton Hammonds; mother, Kathy (Lowe) Hammonds; sister, Stephanie Hammonds-Farris and husband, Tony; grandson, Xander Lee Hammonds; granddaughter, Piper Marie Hammonds; grandmother, Lois Lowe; father-in-law, Hubert Hayes; and mother-in-law, Bobbie (Wright) Hayes.

Mr. Hammonds was preceded in death by sister, Stacey Faye Hammonds; grandfather, Earl Lowe; aunt, Carolyn Lowe Crabtree; and uncle, Larry Lowe.

Funeral services were held Monday, September 25, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Jennings Funeral Homes Chapel with Bro. Oscar England officiating. Burial followed in the Fentress Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers included Allan Whited, Luther Todd, Brian Franklin, Denton Lowe, Jonathan Howard and Broderick Howard. Honorary pallbearers included Tony Farris, Michael Reagon, Rob Lower, Jimmie Markwood, Jeff Cook, Bruce Kirby, Ken Hancock, Brandon Cooper, Dale Beaty, Anthony Huff, and Lee Hammonds.

Nita Rains Little

Nita Rains Little, age 86, of Jamestown, passed away Friday, September 22, 2017 at her home.

Mrs. Little was born February 11, 1931 in Fentress Co., TN. She was self-employed.

Mrs. Little is survived by sons, Rudy Rains and Ricky Rains; six grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; two sisters; many other family and friends.

Mrs. Little was preceded in death by husband, Billie Roe Rains; son, Kent Rains; father, Fred Smith; and mother, Lillie (Taubert) Smith.

Funeral services were held Sunday, September 24, 2017 at 4:00 p.m. at Jennings Funeral Homes Chapel with Bro. Daryl Rains officiating. Burial followed in the Fentress Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers included Bethany Stevens, Cortney Rogers, Kaylor Loudin, Emily Payne, Izabella Henline, Savannah Henline, Lyndee Payne, and Chloe Rogers.

Kenneth “Kenny” Allen Mays

Kenneth “Kenny” Allen Mays, 45 of Sparta, Tennessee passed from this life on Wednesday, September 20, 2017, at his home in Sparta, Tennessee.

Kenny was born Friday, November 26, 1971 in Crossville, Tennessee and he was the son of Lucille (Brown) Mays Lucas and the late Dallas Eldon Mays.

Kenny was an electronics tech in the United States Navy, taught Kindergarden thru 2nd grade in Virgina, and he helped with Mighty Mites at Alive in the Spirit Church in Jamestown, Tennessee for 5 years.

Kenny is survived by mother, Lucille Mays Lucas and stepfather, John C. Lucas of Sparta, Tennessee; 2 brothers, Brian Mays of San Fransisco, California and Jason Mays of Sparta, Tennessee; 5 aunts, Freda and John Reagan, Faye and Wes Neil, Jo Ann Atkinson,  Janice and David Atkinson, Pat and Irv Eddy; 2 uncles,    Harold Brown and William Mays.

In addition to his father, Kenny was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Cora and Egbert Brown; paternal grandparents, Mary and Emmett Mays.

Kenny chose cremation and the family followed his wishes and a Celebration of his Life was held Saturday, September 23, 2017 at Springs Chapel United Methodist Church in Banner Springs, Tennessee and an inurnment of his remains will be held at a later date.

Henry Lee McDonald, age 68 of Jamestown, passed away Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at Tennova Healthcare-Jamestown.

Mr. McDonald was born August 5, 1949 in Jamestown, TN. He was a business owner.

Mr. McDonald is survived by son, John McDonald; daughter, Leanna McDonald; mother, Fonzie (Paris) McDonald; and brother, Tom McDonald.

Mr. McDonald was preceded in death by wife, Sandra Kaye McDonald; and father, Arthur William McDonald.

Dean Price, age 67, of Riverside, OH formerly of Pickett County, passed away Saturday, September 16th, 2017 at Hospice of Dayton, Ohio.

Mrs. Price is survived by husband, Jason Price; brothers, Bobby Smithers and Bud Smithers; sister, Betty Moles & husband, Thomas; niece and nephews, Amanda and Michael Moles; great nephews, Scotty and Matthew Moles.

Mrs. Price was preceded in death by parents, August and Minta Smithers; and mother-in-law, Maxine Price.

Bob Mulligan

Bob Mulligan, age 86 of Jamestown, passed away Monday, September 11, 2017 at Tennova Healthcare-Jamestown.

Mr. Mulligan was born October 23, 1930 in Brooklyn, NY. He was a diesel mechanic.

Mr. Mulligan is survived by wife, Joyce (Wytcherley) Mulligan; daughter, Kimberly Ann Ryan; sons, John Paul Mulligan & wife, Patti and Bryan Keith Mulligan & wife, Barbara; four grandchildren; and brother, James Mulligan.

Mr. Mulligan was preceded in death by father, Thomas Mulligan, Sr.; mother, Margaret (Kelly) Mulligan; brother, Thomas Mulligan, Jr.; brother-in-law, Cecil Rawson.

A Memorial service will be held Saturday, September 30, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Christopher Catholic Church in Jamestown with Father Michael Sweeney officiating. In Lieu of flowers, the family request donations to St. Christopher Catholic Church Building Fund and they may be left at Jennings Funeral Homes.

James D. “Smithers” Smith, age 41, of Albany, KY passed away Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at his home.

Mr. Smith was born July 16, 1976 in Albany, KY.

Mr. Smith is survived by mother, Vickie Delk-LaFever; daughter, Katrinia Payne; grandchildren, Elizabeth & Celine; sister, Lovetta D. Drew; nephew, James “Marcus” Lee Stockton; and father, Douglas Allen Smith.

Mr. Smith was preceded in death by nephew, Robert Joseph “R.J.” Drew; grandparents, Dial Dottson “Dickie” Delk, Vechel (Garrett) Hinds, James “Frog” Smith, and Wanda M. Smith.

Funeral services were held Sunday, September 24, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Jennings Funeral Home Chapel with Brol. Daryl Rains officiating. Burial followed in the Mt. Era Cemetery in Byrdstown, TN. Pallbearers included Joel Stockton, Bill Long, Bo Anderson, Shawn Roberts, James “Marcus” Lee Stockton; and Clinton “Goob” Baldridge. Honorary pallbearer was Stacy Gunter.
