Norma Dean Cravens

Norma Dean Cravens, age 89, of Jamestown passed away Saturday, September, 9, 2017 at Signature Healthcare of Fentress Co.

Mrs. Cravens was born September 8, 1928 in Fentress Co., TN. She was a retired secretary at York Elementary School and a homemaker.

Mrs. Cravens is survived by daughter, Gail Jones & husband, Bill; grandson, Collins Jones & wife, Kristie; niece, Victoria King & husband, Jerome; nephews, Robert Stephen Poe & wife, Debbie and Jonathon Michael Poe & wife, Caitlin.

Mrs. Cravens was preceded in death by husband, Travis “Trav” Cravens; father, William Clarence Beaty; mother, Olin (Robbins) Beaty and sister, Suella Poe.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Jennings Funeral Homes Chapel with Bro. John Robbins officiating. Burial followed in the Beaty-Wright Cemetery. Pallbearers included Collins Jones, Chad Welch, Jeff Stought, J.T. Jones, Sam Owens, and Sam Stought.

Jennings Funeral Home of Jamestown, Tennessee was in charge of the services.

Dorothy Kimbrell

Dorothy Kimbrell, age 78 of Jamestown, passed away Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at Tennova Healthcare-Jamestown.

Mrs. Kimbrell was born May 8, 1939 in Muncie, Indiana. She was a waitress.

Mrs. Kimbrell is survived by husband, Jesse A. Kimbrell; daughter, Trudy Hill & husband, Allen; son, Randy McCreery; granddaughter, Katie Stringer & husband, Mark and Amanda McCreery; grandsons, Thomas McKown & wife, Sara, Joshua McKown and Mason Hill; great-grandchildren, Skylar Jane Sichley, Alexis Ann Sichley, Aoibhe Mary Stringer; brother, Kenneth Riley; and nieces, Jennifer and Dorothy.

Mrs. Kimbrell was preceded in death by father, Francis Riley; and mother, Vivian (Warfel) Riley.

Funeral services were held Monday, September 18, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Jennings Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. John Robbins and Bro. Tommy Duncan officiating. Burial followed in the Mt. Helen Cemetery. Pallbearers included Thomas McKown, Joshua McKown, Allen Hill, Ben Allen, Ronnie Delk and Jimmy Cook.

Steve Myers

Steve Myers, age 47, of Jamestown, passed away Saturday, September 16, 2017 at his home.

Mr. Myers was born May 20, 1970 in Jamestown, Tn He worked as a general laborer.

Mr. Myers is survived by wife, Mary Ann (Blair) Myers; daughters, Charidy Gale Myers & fiance’, Marshall Sallas and Anna Marie Myers & fiance’, Tyler Threet; son, Lucas William Myers; granddaughter, Milley Annabelle Grace Myers; brothers, Charles Kenneth Myers & wife, Marie and John Fitzgerald Myers & wife, Margaret; sisters, Rhonda Daley  husband, Clayton, Barbara Thair, Kathy Lynn Brumley & husband, Jim and Susan Gail Myers & fiance’, Gwynn; brothers-in-law, Don Dicken and Johnny Thair.

Mr. Myers was preceded in death by father, Charlie Wilber Myers; mother, Grace Aline (Duvall) Little; and sister, Lisa Ann Dicken.

Memorial Visitation will  be held Wednesday, September 20, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Jennings Funeral Home Chapel.

Helen Washam

Helen Washam, age 76 of Jamestown, passed away Saturday, September 9, 2017 at St. Thomas West.

Mrs. Washam was born Jun 18, 1941 in Fentress Co., TN. She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Washam is survived by daughter, Glenda Washam; sisters, Christine Frye & husband, Jack and Mildred Beaty & husband, Chester.

Mrs. Washam was preceded in death by husband, Frank Washam; father, Jimmy Beaty; mother, Dollie (Stephens) Beaty; sisters, Arie Lackey, Dorothy Stanley, and Ruby Lackey; brothers, Richard Beaty and Otis Beaty.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at Jennings Funeral Homes Chapel at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. Michael Ryan officiating. Burial followed in the Allardt Cemetery. Pallbearers included Scottie Warden, Matthew Warden, Michael Norris, Bobby Stephens, Leland Warden, Wayne Beaty and Andy Frye.

Irene Wells

Irene Wells, age 98 of Grimsley, TN, passed away Sunday, September 9, 2017 at Heartland Nursing Home in Nashville, TN.

Mrs. Wells is survived by daughter, Jean Prater Kelso; sister, Lorene Davis; grandchildren, Rhonda Prater Gelinas & husband, Michael and Lisa Prater Tolar & husband, Don; several great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Wells was preceded in death by husband, Carl Wells; parents, John and Bertha Atkinson; brothers, Edgar Atkinson, Ray Atkinson, John Atkinson Jr., and Lester Atkinson; sisters, Geneva Smith and Evelene Howard.

Graveside services were held Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at the Spring Chapel Cemetery. Pallbearers included Larry Howard, Terry Howard, Reggie Davis, Michael Gelinas, Chuck Stevens and Keith Beaty.
