RICHARD FOWLER BROGGER

Richard Fowler Brogger, age 76, of Jamestown, passed away Monday, November 20, 2017 at his home.

Mr. Brogger was born September 20, 1941 in Fargo, North Dakota.  He was a Nuclear Power Engineer.

Mr. Brogger is survived by wife, Kimberly Trott; nephew, James Brogger, step-son, Xander Trott; brother, John Brogger; and special family, Robert Beaty.

Mr. Brogger was preceded in death by father, Neil Brogger; mother, Wilma (Fowler) Brogger; and two brothers, James Brogger and Steven Brogger.

Graveside services were held Friday, November 24, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. at the Sharp Place Cemetery.  Honorary pallbearers included Robert L. “Bud” Beaty; Frankie Denning and John W. Choate.

CLAYTON “PANGIT” BILBREY

Clayton “Pangit” Bilbrey, age 70, passed away Thursday, November 16, 2017 at The Villages Regional Hospital in Florida.

Mr. Bilbrey was born March 25, 1947 in Wilder, Tennessee.  He was a Robotic Tech for General Motors.

Mr. Bilbrey is survived by wife, Kristine “B.B” (Gelacio) Bilbrey; daughter, Missty Brooke Warren and husband Bruce; son, Cain Monroe Bilbrey and wife Alexandra; granddaughter, Gabriela Kuhl Bilbrey; two brothers, Jimmy Keith Bilbrey and wife Belle and Jackie Ray Bilbrey and wife Susan; two sisters, Barbara Gail Murphy and Lula Mae Miller and husband Carl Garrett; special friend, George “Bud” Riblet; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Mr. Bilbrey was preceded in death by father, William Rut Bilbrey; mother, Opal Arzie (Boles) Bilbrey; son, William “Little C.B.” Clayton Bilbrey II; two brothers, Lewis Dewayne Bilbrey and John Allen Bilbrey; and special friend, Mike Bassett.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. in the Clarkrange Chapel of Jennings Funeral Home with Bro. Roger Burks officiating. Burial of ashes was held Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Bolestown Cemetery in Alpine with military services at graveside provided by American Legion Post 137.

SHELBY COOPER

Shelby Cooper, age 66, of Jamestown, passed away Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at Centennial Medical Center.

Mr. Cooper was born July 19, 1951 in Jamestown, Tennessee.  He did auto body work.

Mr. Cooper is survived by wife, Mary (Franklin) Cooper; two sons, Shelby Cooper Jr. and Mary Watson and Jamie Cooper and wife Anita; daughter, Dana Crownover and husband Bruce; seven grandchildren, Shelby Devin Cooper, Katelyn Nicole Cooper, David James Crownover, Jamie Isaac Cooper,  Alexander Bruce Crownover, Carley Maxine Crownover and Kaylee Kathleen Watson; and four brothers, Charles Cooper, Ted Cooper and wife Roxanne, Coy Cooper and Steve Cooper.

Mr. Cooper was preceded in death by father, Barney McCoy Cooper; mother, Velma Girthel (Adkins) Cooper; six brothers, Sheldon Cooper, R.D. Cooper, L.D. Cooper, Jimmy Cooper, Clarence Cooper and Harlen Cooper; and two sisters, OraJean Cooper and Nora Dean Wright.

Funeral services were held Sunday, November 26, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Jennings Funeral Home with Bro. Malcolm Strong officiating.  Burial followed in the Coopertown Cemetery.  Active pallbearers included Charles Cooper, Ted Cooper, Coy Cooper, Steve Cooper, Shelby Cooper Jr. and Jamie Cooper.  Honorary pallbearers included Devin Cooper, Isaac Cooper, Alex Crownover, David Crownover and Bruce Crownover.

AMOS “BULL MOOSE” CRABTREE

Amos “Bull Moose” Crabtree, age 69, of Jamestown, passed away Sunday, November 19, 2017 at his home.

Mr. Crabtree was born August 1, 1948 in Livingston, Tennessee.  He was a construction heavy equipment operator.

Mr. Crabtree is survived by wife, Junie (Whited) Crabtree; son, James Lee Crabtree and wife Melissa; daughter, Donna Kay Brown and husband Billy; four grandchildren, Makenzie Lee Crabtree, Madison Faith Crabtree, Kristen Renea Gilbert and husband Ronnie and Chasidy Brown; four brothers, Paul Crabtree and wife Deb, Dan Crabtree and wife Kay, Rick Crabtree and wife Carol and Junior Crabtree; five sisters, Martha Turner and husband Sam, Katherine Manis and husband Willis, Shirley Letner, Pat Hamby and Faye Copeland and husband Steve; and special friend, Dave Miller.

Mr. Crabtree was preceded in death by father, James Franklin Crabtree; mother, Idra Orange (Blevins) Crabtree; brother, Kenny Crabtree; brothers-in-law, Dean Letner and David Hamby; and father and mother-in-law, Boyd and Orpha Whited.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Jennings Funeral Home with Bro.  Bud Abbott officiating.  Burial followed in the Fentress Memorial Gardens.  Pallbearers included James Crabtree, Ronnie Gilbert, Dave Miller, Ben Brown, Christopher Whited, William Whited, Greg Crabtree and Ronnie Gilbert, Jr.

JEWELL DAVIS

Jewell Davis, age 78, of Jamestown, passed away Friday, November 24, 2017 at Tennova Healthcare in Jamestown.

Mrs. Davis was born May 20, 1939 in Jamestown, Tennessee.  He was a factory worker.

Mrs. Davis is survived by two sons, Denver Davis and wife Pam and Nelson Davis and wife Betty; five grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; brother, Darrell Crabtree and wife Marcy; and seven sisters, Corene Phillips, Anna Crouch, Janice Pullins and husband Truman, Teresa Smith and husband, Randle, Brenda Etter and husband Joel, Vickie Lanier and husband Gary and Debbie Tinch and husband J.T.

Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by husband, Jesse Davis; son, Lester Wayne Davis; daughter, Shelia Ann Davis; grandson, Jody Allen Davis; father, Feddie Wilson Crabtree; mother, Roxie Irene (Upchurch) Crabtree; two brothers, Ronnie Crabtree and Charles Ray Crabtree; and two sisters, Dorothy Wheeler and Alta Storie.

Funeral services were held Monday, November 27, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Jennings Funeral Home with Bro. Denny Davis and Bro. John Gunter officiating. Burial followed in the Fairview Cemetery.  Active pallbearers included Jason Davis, Jamie Pullins, Cody Crabtree, Brian Etter, Roger Phillips, Gary Lanier, Jerry Tinch and Truman Pullins.  Honorary pallbearers included James Phillips and Bill Phillips, Jr.

CHARLES “BUD” FRANKLIN

Charles “Bud” Franklin, age 77, of Jamestown, passed away Saturday, November 18, 2017 at Tennova Healthcare of Jamestown.

Mr. Franklin was born October 10, 1940 in Armathwaite, Tennessee.  He was a meat butcher.

Mr. Franklin is survived by son, Forrest Franklin; daughter, Holly Sharp; sister, Peggy Tomlinson; three brothers, James “Jim” Franklin, Cecil Franklin and wife Karen and Ben Franklin and wife Brenda; two nephews, Jeremy Franklin and Aric Franklin; niece, Jamie Hash; honorary grandchildren, Page, Ashlee and Miley; mother of his children, Hope (Conatser) Franklin; and a host of other family and friends.

Mr. Franklin was preceded in death by father, Ovid Arden Franklin; mother, Lela Gladys (Voiles) Franklin; brother-in-law, Homer Tomlinson; and mother-in-law, Evelyn Sharp Conatser.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Jennings Funeral Home with Bro. David Delk officiating.  Burial followed in the Sharp Place Cemetery with military services at graveside provided by American Legion Post 137. Pallbearers included Jeremy Franklin, Aric Franklin, Richard “Toby” Crouch, Cody Hash, Page Taylor and Mike Wright.

GARY JUNIOR HOLT

Gary Junior Holt, age 67, of Jamestown, passed away Sunday, November 19, 2017 at Vanderbilt University Hospital.

Mr. Holt was born April 27, 1950 in Jamestown, Tennessee.  He was office manager at the gravel plant.

Mr. Holt is survived by daughter, Brooke Holt-Legnon and husband Chris; grandson, Edward Patrick Legnon; two sisters, Kay Pillar and Brenda Crouch; and a host of other family and friends.

Mr. Holt was preceded in death by father, Granville “Junior” Barney Holt; mother, Elva Nadine (Richards) Holt; sister, Diane Nadine Smith; and brother, Larry Holt.

Funeral services were held Saturday, November 25, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Jennings Funeral Home with Bro. Tommy Duncan officiating. Burial followed in the Fentress Memorial Gardens. Military services provided by American Legion Post 137.   Pallbearers included Ronnie Holt, Brandon Holt, Paul Legnon, Sam Roysden, Wayne Crouch, Tim Hull, Steve Crouch and Tom South.

RAYMOND D. HOWARD

Raymond D. Howard, age 52, of Jamestown, passed away Thursday, November 23, 2017 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Howard was born February 27, 1965 in Crossville, Tennessee.  He was a truck driver/operator for Koch Foods.

Mr. Howard is survived by wife, Robina (Hancock) Howard; daughter, Sarah Rae Howard; step-daughter, Shawna Delk and husband Micheal; step-son, Andrew Howard and wife, Tasha; sister, Carrie Stedam and husband Teddy; brother, Ray Howard and wife Carolyn; mother-in-law, Nancy Hancock; sisters-in-law, Jennifer Turner and husband Joey, Jody Hancock and Anitra Hancock; two nieces, Jessica Sherrill and husband Kyle and Jenny Turner; four nephews, Dustin Stedam, Jared Hancock, Nathaniel Hancock and Ethan Hancock; great-nieces, Amara and Brooke Stedam; great nephew, Kameron Sherrill; step-grandchildren, Gabby, Ryan, Kenzie, Carter, Callie and Blakelyn; and special friends, Ruger Alan and Lilly Cheynne Kenji, Giovanni Duncan, Aaron, Arley Sophia and Karla.

Mr. Howard was preceded in death by son, Daniel Edison Howard; father, Edison Howard; mother, Vergie (Hillard) Howard; infant sister, Julie Howard; father-in-law, Phillip Hancock; and brother-in-law, Micah Hancock.

WALTER VANDERKOOY

Walter Vanderkooy, age 63, of Jamestown, passed away Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Vanderkooy is survived by wife, Peggy Vanderkooy; parents, Walter and Lena Vanderkooy; two sons, Walter Vanderkooy Jr. and Dustin Wagner; three daughters, Melanie Vanderkooy, Stafanie Wagner and Meagan Wagner; brother, Arnold Vanderkooy; and four sisters, Margaret Ahmed, Nell DaFoe, Sharon Vandermuelen and Anne Cornelia.

The family has chosen cremation with a memorial service to be held at a later date.
