ANNETTA BEELER

Annetta Beeler, age 72, of Jamestown, passed away Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at Signature Healthcare of Fentress County.

Miss Beeler is survived by brother, Ralph Beeler and wife Kay; sister-in-law, Sue Beeler; nephew, Jim Beeler; nieces, Jennifer Bowden, Stacey Wells and Shelley Beeler; great nieces and nephews, Jessica and Julie Bowden and Skylar and Nathan Wells.

Miss Beeler was preceded in death buy parents, Lonnie and Nora Beeler; and two brothers, Leon Beeler and Buster “Buck” Beeler.

Funeral services were held Friday, November 17, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Mundy Funeral Home with Bro. Oney Wright officiating.  Burial followed in the Allardt Cemetery.  Family and friends served as pallbearers.

JENNIFER MCPHERSON

Jennifer McPherson, age 51, of Rockwall, Texas, passed away Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at Baylor Medical Center in Dallas, Texas.

Mrs. McPherson is survived by mother, Shela Roberts; husband, John McPherson; three sons, Austin McPherson, Josh McPherson and wife Elicia and Joel McPherson; grandson, Julian McPherson; parents-in-law, Allen and Juanita McPherson; special cousin, Cindy Malone; grandfathers, Bill Smith and Glenn Green; and a host of other family and friends.

Mrs. McPherson was preceded in death by father, Gary Sisco; step-father, Wayne Roberts; grandparents, Flossie Smith and Otis and Ethel Sisco.

Funeral services were held Sunday, November 19, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. at the Rinnie Freewill Baptist Church with Bro. Vic Davis officiaing.  Burial followed in the Rinnie Cemetery.  Pallbearers included Graig Green, Tony Green, Josh McPherson, Austin McPherson, Justin Daniel and Ronnie Sisco.

JANEL (SCROGGINS) CRABTREE

Janel (Scroggins) Crabtree, age 55, of Jamestown, passed away Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at U.T. Medical Center.

Mrs. Crabtree was born October 28, 1962 in Muncie, Indiana.  She was a housewife.

Mrs. Crabtree is survived by husband, Larry Crabtree; two sons, Daniel Crabtree and Robert Crabtree; mother, Loretta (Dragoo) Scroggins; two brothers, Marty Scroggins and Lloyd Scroggins; five sisters, Gail Garrett, Jeni Ledbetter, Christy Strunk, Teresa Draughn and Sheri Hicks; mother-in-law, Ruby Crabtree; sister-in-law, Brenda Brown and husband Tim; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Memorial services were held Saturday, November 18, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Jennings Funeral Home with Bro. Howard Scroggins officiating.  The family chose cremation.

JOYCE SALLY KOGER

Joyce Sally Koger, age 79, of Jamestown, passed away Monday, November 13, 2017 at Tennova Healthcare of Jamestown.

Mrs. Koger is survived by two sons, Timothy Koger and Steven Koger and wife Ashley; daughter, Kimberly Koger; brother, Ronnie “Runt” Threet and wife Sarah Ann; nephews, Nick Threet and Daniel Threet; and special friends, Betty and Paul Ruble and Debbie and Jerry Tinch.

Mrs. Koger was preceded in death by husband, Eugene Koger; and parents, David Proctor and Nera Bowden Threet.

Funeral services were held Thursday, November 16, 20017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Mundy Funeral Home with Bro. John Gunter officiating.  Burial followed in the Fentress Memorial Gardens.  Pallbearers included Jeremy Howard, Jon Garrett, Jerry Tinch, Mike Stone, Kenny Price and Dan Threet.

DARLENE DELK MARTIN

Darlene Delk Martin, age 90, of Jamestown, passed away Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at Signature Healthcare of Fentress County.

Mrs. Martin was born February 8, 1927 in Jamestown, Tennessee.  She was a factory worker.

Mrs. Martin is survived by three sons, Clyde E. Delk Jr., Tom Delk and wife Yvone and Jack W. Delk and wife Vanessa; two daughters, Pat Lackey and husband Hoyt and Mashailla Golden and husband Charles; twenty-six grandchildren; forty-eight great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and brother, Douglas “Jynx” Bowmer.

Mrs. Martin was preceded in death by first husband, Clyde Delk; second husband, Floyd Clayton Martin Jr.; son, Bob Delk; mother, Nova (Clark) Bowmer; father, Roscoe Bowmer; three grandchildren, Bobby, Johnathan and Charlotte; one great-grandchild, Timothy; daughters-in-law, Donna Delk and Sarah Delk; three brothers, Bobby, Ward and Clifford; and three sisters, Velma, Beachel and Tootsie.

Funeral services were held Thursday, November 16, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. at the Lighthouse Church of God with Bro. Larry Potter, Bro. Gordon Bertram and Bro. Charles Golden officiating.  Burial followed in the Lighthouse Church of God Cemetery. Active pallbearers included Charles Golden Jr., Bryan Golden, Ryan Golden, Stephen Golden, Kevin Delk and Tommy Delk. Honorary pallbearers included Jacob Delk, Keith Delk, Josh Delk, Jason Delk, Jeremy Delk and Clyde Delk III.

OMIE RINGLEY

Omie Ringley, age 78, of the Manson Community, passed away Monday, November 13, 2017 at her home.

Mrs. Ringley was born January 21, 1939 in Jamestown, Tennessee.  She was a factory worker.

Mrs. Ringley is survived by husband, Johnie Ringley; three brothers, Luther King and wife Nyoka, Larry King and wife Pauline and Jerry King and wife Sandra; sister, Lorene Sharp and husband Larry; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.

Mrs. Ringley was preceded in death by daughter, Devondia Diane Ringley; father, Elbert King; and mother, Hettie (Turner) King.

Funeral services were held Thursday, November 16, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Jennings Funeral Home with Bro. Oney Wright officiating.  Burial followed in the King Cemetery.  Pallbearers included Don Dorsey, Jim Allred, Josh Sharp, John Stephens, Marty King and Sam King.

ROY T. SMITH

Roy T. Smith, age 77, of Jamestown, passed away Sunday, November 12, 2017 at his home.

Mr. Smith was born November 21, 1939 in Jamestown, Tennessee.  He was in Insurance Sales/Insurance.  He worked 34 years with Independent Life Insurance Co. in the Athens, TN office.

Mr. Smith is survived by wife of 58 years, Olene (Turner) Smith; three daughters, Gail Higdon, Kathy Crabtree and husband Ron and Patricia Lafferty and husband Larry; special daughter, Bettye Wheaton and husband Jim; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brother, Frank Smith and wife Faye; two sisters, Mildred Beaty and Frances Bledsoe and husband Victor; brothers-in-law, Willis Turner and James Turner and wife Lois; sister-in-law, Wanda Savage and husband Owen; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Mr. Smith was preceded in death by father, Edd L. Smith; mother, Kathleen (Beaty) Smith; mother-in-law, Elva Turner; son-in-law, Gary Higdon; brother, Randy Smith; brothers-in law, Wright Beaty and Willie Turner; and sister-in-law, Carol Turner.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Jennings Funeral Home with Bro. John Gunter and Bro. Ernest Campbell officiating.  Burial followed in the Fentress Memorial Gardens.  Active pallbearers included Ryan Crabtree, Shayne Crabtree, Joshua Maynard, Eddy Smith, tom Bledsoe, Gary Wright, Terry Wright, Eric Cline and Jeremy Smith.  Honorary pallbearers included Ron Crabtree, Russ Stephens, Ronnie Clark, James Turner, Comer Reynolds, Billy Jennings Sr., Leonard Smith, Elza Smith, Ken Bowling, Larry Lafferty, Billy Fox Beaty, Willis Turner, Owen Savage, Billy Jennings Jr., Sammie Dunford, James Smith, Walter Davis, Ray Smith and Billy Campau.
