LINDA BEELER

Linda Beeler, age 66, of Jamestown, passed away Friday, May 18, 2018 at Signature Healthcare of Fentress County.

Miss Beeler is survived by daughter, Tracy Wright and husband Kevin; two granddaughters, Lilli Wright and Lucca Wright; brother, Hump Beeler and wife Donna; three sisters, Wanda Garrett, Nancy Campbell and husband Kenneth and Marie Beeler; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Miss Beeler was preceded in death by parents, George and Lillian Beeler; and brother, Gene “Bull” Beeler.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at the Allardt Cemetery with Bro. Micah Dunford officiating.  Pallbearers included Kevin Wright, Drew Garrett, Tim Beeler, Aaron Choate, Austin Choate and Rod Choate.

PAULINE CHOATE

Pauline Choate, age 88, of Clarkrange, passed away Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at Bethesda Healthcare of Cookeville, Tennessee.

Miss. Choate is survived by two sisters, Minnie Cooper and Clara Hinds; and host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Miss Choate was preceded in death by parents, Marvin and Nenah Choate; four brothers, Wilburn Choate, Willis Choate, Willie Choate and Walter Choate; and two sisters, Grace Linder and Irene Choate.

Family received friends on Friday, May 25, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. till 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Mundy Funeral Home with burial in the King Cemetery.  Family served as pallbearers.

DONALD E. “ROAD HOG” CHOATE

Donald E. “Road Hog” Choate, age 65, of Morristown, passed away Monday, May 28, 2018 at his residence.

Mr. Choate was preceded in death by his parents, Claxton Choate and Carrie Smith; two brothers, Charles Choate and Edward Choate; and sister, Glenice Choate.

Mr. Choate is survived by his wife of 31 years, Linda Choate; children, Rev. Donna (Heather) Choate, Donald Lynn Choate, and Janie (Shaun) Matthews; grandchild, Hunter (Tyler) Crabtree; great grandchildren, Leland and Lelani Crabtree; brothers, Carl (Ann) Choate, Howard (Lois) Choate, Guy Choate (Joy Ledbetter), and Jack (Lisa) Choate; sisters, Wanda (Ralph) Landry; and Martha (Robert) Howard; uncle, Austin (Almy) Choate; special family friend, Troy Brady; and several nieces and nephews.

The family received friends from 3-5 pm on Tuesday, May 29th at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services followed at 5 pm on Tuesday with Rev. Donna Choate and Pastor Mike Taylor officiating. Graveside services were held at 11 am on Wednesday, May 30th at Hamblen Memory Gardens. A special thank you to U.T. Medical Center and U.T. Hospice.

RONNIE MATTHEWS

Ronnie Matthews, age 60, of Jamestown, passed away Sunday, May 20, 2018 at Signature Healthcare of Fentress County.

Mr. Matthews is survived by daughter, Rebecca Dodson; son, Danny Matthews; six grandchildren; brother, Paul Matthews; and three sisters, Helen Adams, Pauletta Ford and Joyce Livingston.

Mr. Matthews was preceded in death by parents, Ed and Rose Matthews; sister, Ruth Lively; an infant sister, Anna Rose Matthews; and grandson, Joseph Dodson.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Mundy Funeral Home with Bro. Bruce Cravens officiating.  Burial followed in the King Cemetery.  Pallbearers included Byron Matthews, Braxton Matthews, Sarah Dodson, Hannah Dodson, Lydia Matthews, Mike Summers, Danny Matthews, Steve Adams and Edd Matthews.

DOTTY (WRIGHT) SMITH

Dotty (Wright) Smith, age 68, of Jamestown, passed away Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at her home.

Mrs. Smith was born March 21, 1950 in Livingston, Tennessee.  She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Smith is survived by husband, Ron Smith; daughter, Shea Wright; two sons, Richmond Smith and wife Lisa and Stanton Smith and wife Kara; mother, Jo Wright; father, R.P. “Chick” Wright; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Doris King and husband Ben and Donna Qualls and husband Robert; sister-in-law, Louise Smith; brother-in-law, Rick Smith and wife Judy; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by grandparents, Alex and Arxie Beaty and Edna Wright; father and mother-in-law, Roy and Nell Smith; and brother-in-law, Dan Smith.

Funeral services were held Sunday, May 27, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. at Jamestown Church of Christ with Bruce Mullinix, Bro. James Brown, Ken Fulfer, Bro. Paul Roberts and Derek Mullinix officiating.  Burial followed in the Smith Chapel Cemetery in Jackson County.  Active pallbearers included Lance Wright, Josh Voiles, Davis Smith, Harrison Smith, Porter Smith, Travis Qualls, Jordan Smith and Tyler Smith.  Honorary pallbearers included Dustin Wright, Cory Smith, Rick Smith, Robert Qualls, Ben King, Brandon Key, Keith Wilson, Ralph Wright, Teddy Beaty, Derek Mullinix, Jeremy Blevins, Aiden Puccio, Jared Wheeler, Dawson Smith and Brantlee Wright.

DONALD “DON” CLAY WILLIAMS

Donald “Don” Clay Williams, age 87,  of Family Road in Pall Mall, TN passed away Sunday, May 20, 2018 at Overton Co. Health and Rehab in Livingston. He was born August 29, 1930 in Byrdstown, TN to Arthur and Cora (Rains) Williams. Don was a member of the Wolf River Methodist Church and  member of the Jamestown Masonic Lodge # 281. He was a custodian, farmer, mail carrier, and a garment factory employee.

Don is survived by his Wife: Wilma (West) Williams of Pall Mall, TN ; (2) Daughters: Willetta Sue Smith of Pall Mall, TN, Patricia Smith Jones and Husband: Joe of Crossville, TN; (1) Son: Donnie Williams and Wife: Janice of Pall Mall,TN; (1) Sister: Louise West of Pall Mall, TN; (5) Grandchildren; and (8) Great-Grandchildren. Also survived by nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his Parents: Arthur and Cora Williams; (2) Brothers: Ray Williams (Ruby) and Paul Williams (Clara); (2) Sisters: Mossie Storie (Darwin), Blanche Williams; (1) Brother-In-Law: Junior West; (1) Grandson: Michael Paul Smith.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. from the Brown Funeral Chapel with Bro. Alan Dixon and Bro. John Dietz officiating and burial in the Pritchard Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers were: Donald Paul Smith, Donald Joseph Williams, Beth Lively, Dylan Glen Smith, Braden Lewallen, Logan Mark Lewallen, Ryan Edward Lewallen, and Donald Griffith (Bud) Smith. Honorary pallbearers were: Charles Ellis, Mark Smith, Wolf River Methodist Church members, and neighbors.
