“BULL” BEELER

Geroge Gene “Bull” Beeler, age 76 of Allardt, passed away Sunday, April 22, 2018 at his home.

Mr. Beeler was born December 23, 1941 in Allardt, Tennessee.  He was a construction worker.

Mr. Beeler is survived by wife, Doris (Kington) Beeler; daughter, Sherrie Choate and husband Rod; son, Tim Beeler; daughter-in-law, Becky Beeler; nine grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; four sisters, Wanda Garrett, Linda Beeler, Nancy Campbell and husband Kenneth and Marie Beeler; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Mr. Beeler was preceded in death by father, George Franklin Beeler; mother, Lillian Marie (Cravens) Beeler; son, Jamie Lynn Beeler; and three infant brothers.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Jennings Funeral Home with Bro. Earl Sweat officiating.  Cremation to follow.  Honorary pallbearers included Jerry Gernt, Tony Gernt, Ed Wiley, Jerry Day and David Brown.

BILLY HENSON COPLEAND SR.

Billy Henson Copeland Sr., age 71, of Clarkrange, passed away Friday, April 20, 2018 at his home.

Mr. Copeland is survived by wife, Jean Shaver Copeland; son, Billy Copeland Jr. and wife Regina; two daughters, Melissa Phillips and husband Wayne and Michelle Jones and husband David; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sister, Dora Sue Kirby; sister-in-law, Donna Copeland; and brother, Robert Copeland and wife Carolyn.

Mr. Copeland was preceded in death by parents, Oral and Leva Copeland; brother, William Stacey Copeland; and sister, Baby Girl Copeland.

Funeral services were held Monday, April 23, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the South Chapel of Mundy Funeral Home with Bro. Gerald Phillips officiating.  Burial followed in the Campground Cemetery.  Pallbearers included Anthony Copeland, Coy Templeton Jr., John Keyes, Terry Phillips, Bobo Keyes and Paul Ford.

JEFFERY ALLEN HOOVER

Jeffery Allen Hoover, age 59, of Jamestown, passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Hoover was born March 7, 1959 in Jamestown, Tennessee.  He was a carpenter.

Mr. Hoover is survived by wife, Anette (Allen) Hoover; son, William Cox; two daughters, Nancy Fawn Crabtree and Heaven Ipock; five grandchildren; three brothers, Russell Winningham, Jimmy Hoover and Donald Ray Hoover; and sister, Phyllis Hoover.

Mr. Hoover was preceded in death by father, Don E. Hoover; mother, Rozella (Robertson) Hoover; two brothers, Johnny Hoover and Tony Hoover; and two sisters, Joann Willard and Brenda Hoover.

Graveside services were held Thursday, April 26, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. in the Sharp Place Cemetery with Bro. Willie Hicks officiating.

JENNINGS LOOPER

Jennings Looper, age 82 of Clarkrange, passed away Friday, April 27, 2018 at his home.

Mr. Looper was born March 28, 1936 in Crawford, Tennessee.  He and his wife were owners/operators of J&J Cash Market.  He worked with McDonnell Douglas in Monterey, Textron in Nashville, and Boeing in Oak Ridge.  He attended the University of Tennessee and taught school in Davidson, Tennessee.  Mr. Looper was a member of Columbia Hill Missionary Baptist Church where he was a youth and adult Sunday School Teacher and served as Deacon for over 40 years.  He was a United States Army Veteran serving during the Post Korean War.

Mr. Looper is survived by wife of 56 years, Joanna Phillips Looper of Clarkrange; daughter, Angie and Rev. Raymond Phillips of Jamestown; two sons, Pastor Steve and Michelle Looper of Monterey and Kevin and Lanna Looper of Cookeville; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and brother, Raymond and Betty Looper of Cookeville.

Mr. Looper was preceded in death by parents, Talmadge and Portia Phillips Looper.

Funeral services were held Sunday, April 29, 2018 at 4:00 p.m. at Hope In Christ Fellowship with Rev. Raymond Phillips and Pastor Steve Looper officiating.  Burial followed in the Midway Cemetery.

CAROL GLEE (UPCHURCH) PICKARD

Carol Glee (Upchurch) Pickard, age 78, of the Forbus Community passed away Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at her home.

Mrs. Pickard was born August 17, 1939 in Pall Mall, Tennessee.  She was a book keeper.

Mrs. Pickard is survived by son, Shanon Pickard and wife Kaye; three grandsons, Matthew, Zachary and Thomas J. Pickard; sister, Janet Hinds; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Mrs. Pickard was preceded in death by husband, Thomas H. Pickard; father, Grady Martin Upchurch; mother, Nora (Storie) Upchurch; one sister; and five brothers.

Memorial services were held Saturday, April 28, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Jennings Funeral Home with Rev. John Dietz officiating.

MARY PULLINS

Mary Pullins, age 67 of Grimsley, passed away Friday, April 20, 2017 at Signature HealthCare of Fentress County.

Mrs. Pullins is survived by daughter, Rebecca Farley and husband Elbert; granddaughter, Sidney Richards; special friend, Clinton Copeland; brother, Odis Young; special niece, Vickie Wright; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Pullins was preceded in death by husband, Norman “Duck” Pullins; parents, Ike and Ova Hall Young; sister, Willene Cooper; and two brothers, Oscar Young and James Young.

Funeral services were held Sunday, April 22, 2018 at 4:00 p.m. in the South Chapel of Mundy Funeral Home with Bro. Oney Wright and Bro. Daryl Rains officiating.  Burial followed in the Young Cemetery.  Active pallbearers included Nelson Young, Tim Young, Josh Young, Chris Young, Donnie Copeland and Shane Beaty.  Honorary pallbearers included Darrell Young and Tommy Young.
