PERRY ASBERRY

Perry Asberry, age 82, of the Armathwaite Community, passed away Sunday, June 3, 2018 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Asberry is survived by wife, Ruth Asberry; two sons, Jeffrey Asberry and wife Pat and Greg Asberry and wife Angie; three daughters, Vicki Sheridan and husband Doug, Rosemary Deaton and Cindy Slaven and husband Wade; two brothers, Roger Asberry and John Asberry; three sisters, Betty Voiles, Patty Hayes and Kathryn Stockton and husband Eddie; nine grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

Mr. Asberry was preceded in death by parents, Stanford and Jessie Asberry; seven sisters; and three brothers.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Mundy Funeral Home with Bro. Anthony Creselious officiating.  Burial followed in the Range Cemetery.  Pallbearers included Chris Dalton, Jamie Deaton, Tyrel Asberry, Dekota Deaton, Jonathan Smith, Tyler Dalton, Seth Dalton and Jeremy Hendrickson.

DOLORES GAYE COPELAND STEPHENS BRAWL

Dolores Gaye Copeland Stephens Brawl, age 78, of Jamestown, passed away Thursday, June 7, 2018 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Brawl is survived by husband, Charles Brawl; daughter, Susan Stephens Sidwell and husband Josh; brother, George Stephen Copeland; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Brawl was preceded in death by first husband, Burton Stephens; parents, Jimmy and Leida Copeland; son, Kedith Clanc Stephens; two brothers, James and Billy Ray Copeland; and sister, SueAnn Copeland Sells.

Graveside services were held Saturday, June 9, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Stephens Cemetery with Bro. Ronald Whited officiating.  Pallbearers included Donald Winningham, Lance Stephens, Josh Sidwell, Michael Davis, Keith Davis and Will Sidwell.

CASPER “BUDDY” HALL

Casper “Buddy” Hall, age 74, of the Banner Springs Community, passed away Sunday, June 3, 2018 at Signature Healthcare of Fentress County.

Mr. Hall is survived by five sons, Dwayne Hall and wife Lori, Daryl Hall and special friend Kathie Hall, Calvin Hall and wife Jennifer, Lea Olin Hall and wife Rebekah and Marcus Hall and wife Amy; two step-sons, Louis Cottle and Floyd Cottle and wife Danita; daughter, Michelle Myers and husband Brance; four step-daughters, Sharon Lynn and husband Eddie, Patricia Cottle, Danielle Hall and Felicia Hall; brother, Dale Hall and wife Linda Jo; four sisters, Ruth Conatser, Ruby Beaty, Carolyn Norris and husband Claude and Mary Hedgecoth and husband Dennis; several grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Mr. Hall was preceded in death by wife, Macie Hall; parents, Leamon and Rosie Hall; five brothers, Clifford Leo Hall, Hershel Hall, Chester Hall, Billy Hall and Milton Hall; and brothers-in-law, Shelby Conatser and Kenneth Beaty.

Funeral services were held Friday, June 8, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the South Chapel of Mundy Funeral Home with Bro. Sammie Dunford officiating.  Burial followed in the Springs Chapel Cemetery.  Military services were conducted at grave side by American Legion Post 137.

LENA HOLDING

Lena Holding, age 83, of Jamestown, passed away Sunday, June 3, 2018 at St. Thomas Rutherford in Murfreesboro.

Mrs. Holding is survived by son, Brian Holding and wife Kim; daughter, Jane Holding and spouse David Lewis; grandson, Brian Holding II; and special cousin, Sue Pennycuff.

Mrs. Holding was preceded in death by husband, Pat Holding; and parents, Jim and Bertha Cobb.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Mundy Funeral Home with Bro. Bruce Mullinix officiating.  Burial followed in the Cobb Cemetery.  Family and friends served as pallbearers.

MARTHA RIGNEY

Martha Rigney, age 85, of Jamestown, passed away Saturday, June 2, 2018 at Tennova Healthcare of Jamestown.

Mrs. Rigney was born July 26, 1932 in Scott County, Tennessee.  She was a cook.

Mrs. Rigney is survived by son, J.D. Rigney; two daughters, Mary Woodall and Elizabeth Rigney; five grandchildren; brother, Dennis Roysden; and sister, Mary Anderson.

Mrs. Rigney was preceded in death by husband, Printis Harrison; father, Daniel Roysden; mother, Lena (Testament) Roysden; two brothers, Freeman Roysden and Phillip Roysden; sister, Clara Bridgeman; and infant sister, Helen Roysden.

Graveside services were held Friday, June 8, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Alticrest Cemetery with Bro. Craig Waters officiating.

JUDY ROGERS

Judy Rogers, age 70, of the Banner Springs Community, passed away Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at Signature Healthcare of Fentress County.

Mrs. Rogers is survived by three sons, Lonnie Rogers and wife Vada, Ronnie Rogers and wife Elizabeth; and Ricky Rogers; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Rogers was preceded in death by husband, Comer Rogers; parents, Lonzie and Elva Smith; and a host of sibling.

Funeral services were held Saturday, June 9, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Mundy Funeral Home with Bro. Bryan Findley officiating.  Burial followed in the Springs Chapel Cemetery.  Pallbearers included Seth Rogers, Jacob Rogers, Richard Rogers, Dexter Duncan, Joe Helton, Brent Beaty, Rodney Davidson and Chris Milam.

MICHELLE MARIE SWAFFORD

Michelle Marie Swafford, age 58, of Jamestown, passed away Thursday, June 7, 2018 at Park West Hospital.

Mrs. Swafford was born August 30, 1959 in Muncie, Indiana.  She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Swafford is survived by husband, Donald Swafford; daughter, Rebecca Kennedy and husband James; son, Daniel Swafford and wife April; four grandchildren; brother, John Ranes and wife Pat and two sisters, Diana Lipps and Tammy Hicks and husband Roy.

Mrs. Swafford was preceded in death by father, John Ranes; mother, Marie (Reynolds) Ranes; aunt, Margie Cox; and a host of uncles and other family.

Visitation was held Monday, June 11, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m in the Chapel of Jennings Funeral Home with cremation to follow.

THOMAS EARL STULTS

Thomas Earl Stults, age 83, of Clarkrange, passed away Friday, June 1, 2018 at Signature Healthcare of Fentress County.

Mr. Stults is survived by wife, JoAnn Stults; daughter, Deborah Shriner and husband David; son, Kevin Stults and wife Francine; two brothers, Bill Stults and wife Sally and Joe Stults; sister, Jane Whitson and husband Joe; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.

Mr. Stults was preceded in death by children, Danny Stults and Rhonda Stults; parents, Earl and Lena Stults; brothers, Jim Stults and John Stults; and sister-in-law, Lucy Stults.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 5, 2018 in the South Chapel of Mundy Funeral Home at 1:00 p.m. with Bro. Leon Baldwin and Bro. Alvin Copeland officiating.  Burial followed in the Campground Cemetery.  Pallbearers included Rodney Stults, Garrett Stults, Randy Scurlock, Jeremy Recker, Joe Whitson and Carl Garrett.
