MILDRED CHOATE

Mildred Choate, age 78, of Clarkrange, passed away Friday, June 29, 2018 at Cumberland Medical Center.

Mrs. Choate was born November 5, 1939 in Jamestown, Tennessee.  She was a seamstress.

Mrs. Choate is survived by two daughters, Angela Clark and husband Glenn and Kim Taylor and husband Nick; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ollie Price and Phyllis Brooks and husband Steven; two brothers, Billy Price and Ellen and Charles Price and wife Juanita; and sister-in-law, Betty Price.

Mrs. Choate was preceded in death by husband, Donald “Don” Choate; father, Gordon E. Price; mother, Bulah E. (Roysden) Price; brother, Ray Price; and sister, Evelyn Stephens.

Funeral services were held Sunday, July 1, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Jennings Funeral Home with Bro. Daryl Rains officiating.  Burial followed in the Storie Cemetery in the Little Crab Community.  Pallbearers included Dustin Young, Dustin Boles, Tyler Clark, Caleb Evans, Nick Taylor and Kurt Stults.

ERLENE WHEELER COPELAND

Erlene Wheeler Copeland, age 91, of Jamestown, passed away Sunday, June 24, 2018 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Copeland is survived by grandchildren, Richard Copeland, Deborah Copeland, Alison Copeland Murdock and Becky Copeland McCausland; two brothers, Fay Wheeler and Clyde Wheeler; two sisters, Sue Hull and Ginger Connell; and four great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Copeland was preceded in death by parents, Earl and Myrtle Wheeler; two sons, Carl Wayne Copeland and David Copeland; two sisters, Eugenia Wheeler and Josephine Jones; and five brothers, Huston Wheeler, William Wheeler, Zoral Wheeler, John Wheeler and Exen Wheeler.

Funeral services were held Friday, June 29, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Mundy Funeral Home with Bro. Steve Looper officiating. Burial followed in the Taylor Place Cemetery. Pallbearers included Mack Murdock, Doc Murdock, Dalton Lewis, Eric Hull, Joe Wheeler, Michael Wheeler and Bobby Connell.

GAINES LOWE

Gaines Lowe, age 78, of Jamestown, passed away Monday, June 25, 2018 at his home.

Mr. Lowe was born October 7, 1939 in Cumberland County.  He was a factory worker.

Mr. Lowe is survived by wife, Reba (Dunford) Lowe; two daughters, Donna Lowe and Karen Harvel and husband Doug; two granddaughters, Sarah (Harvel) Kruger and husband Corey and Olivia Harvel; one great-grandchild, Grant Lowe Kruger; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Mr. Lowe was preceded in death by father, Thedore Lowe; mother, Clara (Hicks) Lowe; and three sisters, Selma Monday, Wilma Richards and Velma Jackson.

Funeral services were held Thursday, June 28, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Jennings Funeral Home with Bro. Micah Dunford and Bro. Sammie Dunford officiating.  Burial followed in the Fentress Memorial Gardens in Jamestown, TN.  Pallbearers included Boyd Jones, Malcom Strong, Johnny Reagan, Doug Harvel, John Galapon, Grayson Terrell, Corey Kruger, Ted Cooper, Oscar England, J.D. Dunford, Kenneth Copeland and Porter Ray Penticuff.

JANE RICH

Jane Rich, age 52, of Tompkinsville, KY formerly of Jamestown, passed away Sunday, June 24, 2018 at T.J. Samson Community Hosptial in Glasgow, KY.

Mrs. Rich is survived by three sons, Nathan Rich and girlfriend Christy, Billy Rich and fiancée Katie and Jason Rich; four daughters, Kyleigh Rich and fiancée Paul, Bethany Miller and husband Matt, Catina Bond and Klara Ann Rich; brother, Michael Hall; two sisters, Sandy Daniels and Rita Lykins; and ten grandchildren.

Mrs. Rich was preceded in death by mother, Ella Rentfrow.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Mundy Funeral Home with Bro. Oney Wright officiating.  Burial followed in the Alticrest Cemetery. Pallbearers included Nathan Rich, Billy Rich, Paul Strong, Spanky Rich, Dustin Bond, Jason Rich, Matt Miller and Jamie Rich.

BOBBY WAYNE SLAVEN

Bobby Wayne Slaven, age 65, of Pall Mall, passed away  Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at Jamestown Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Slaven was born August 26, 1952 in Jamestown, Tennessee. He was a logger.

Mr. Slaven is survived by companion, Roberta (Bridgeman) Evans; two sons, John Slaven and Scottie Slaven; two daughters, Stacy Slaven and Kystal Agee; loved like his children, Tyler Evans, Christy Evans and Misty Moon; nine grandchildren; two brothers, Larry Slaven and Kenneth Slaven; four sisters, Pauline Ballard, Diane Fults, Jewell Barney and Linda Pursell; aunt, Betty Sue Dishman; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Mr. Slaven was preceded in death by father, Andy Slaven; mother, Crystal (Evans) Slaven; granddaughter, Gracie Phaychanpheng; and three brothers, Paul, Slaven, Glen Slaven and Bruce Slaven.

Funeral services were held Friday, June 29, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Jennings Funeral Home with Bro. David Shaw and Bro. Steve Cook officiating.  Burial followed in the Davidson Cemetery in Pall Mall, TN.  Pallbearers included Mike Slaven, Rick Slaven, Eddie Stinson, Bear Beaty, Jim Buck, Phillip Pierce, Kevin Pierce, Sam Moon, Donnie Fults and Dale Pursell.

DANNY SWAFFORD

Danny Swafford, age 59, of Jamestown, passed away Friday, June 29, 2018 at Bethesda Health Care.

Mr. Swafford was born March 28, 1959 in Jamestown, Tennessee.  He was a glass installer.

Mr. Swafford is survived by father, Sam Swafford; two sisters, Judy South and husband Brian and Ruth Cassidy and husband Bryan; brother, David Swafford; six nieces and nephews; and thirteen great-nieces and nephews.

Mr. Swafford was preceded in death by mother, Minnie (Howe) Swafford; brother, Johnny Swafford; and sister-in-law, Michelle.

Visitation was held Monday, July 2, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Jennings Funeral Home.  Burial followed in the Springs Chapel Cemetery in Fentress County, TN with Bro. Earl Sweat officiating.  Family and friends served as pallbearers.
