June Crouch, age 73, of Pall Mall, passed away Friday, December 21, 2018 at her home.

Mrs. Crouch was born March 21, 1945 in Jamestown, Tennessee.  She was a factory worker.

Mrs. Crouch is survived by daughter, Gaye Hall and husband Tony; two sons, Brandon Crouch and Wayne Crouch and wife Tammy; two grandchildren, Michael Green and Tasha Draper and husband Kelvin; six great-grandchildren, Jonah, Leiella, Jaxon, Mayona, Dooley and Josiah; three brothers, Jerry Kennedy, Kirby Kennedy and wife Susie and John Kennedy; three sisters, Elsie Choate, Sandra King and husband Jerry and Jean Walker; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends….

VIRGINIA DARLENE (EVANS) HYDER

Virginia Darlene (Evans) Hyder, age 74 of Dalton, GA passed away Sunday, December 23, 2018 at Hamilton Medical Center.

Mrs. Hyder was born January 25, 1944 in Jamestown, Tennessee.  She was a staff leader in retail sales.

Mrs. Hyder is survived by son, Brian Keith Hyder; two sisters, Flora Price and husband Bob and Patty Choate; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Mrs. Hyder was preceded in death by husband, George Hyder; father, Patrick Evans; mother, Neva (Lester) Evans; and two sisters, Emily Choate and Linda Keagle…

ED LINDER

Ed Linder, age 76, of Jamestown, passed away Monday, December 24, 2018 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Linder was born March 13, 1942 in Manson, Tennessee.  He was an inspector.

Mr. Linder is survived by two sons, Mark Linder and wife Julie and Edric Linder and wife Angela; three grandchildren, Jesse, Joseph and Josie Linder; three step-grandchildren, Chris Bowlin, Rebecca Parrott and Alisha; two nephews, Jim and Gary Linder; and a host of special friends and family…

LORA “TOOTIE” (SELBY) RICHARDS

Lora “Tootie” (Selby) Richards, age 77, of Jamestown, passed away Friday, December 21, 2018 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Richards was born March 8, 1941 in Jamestown, Tennessee.  She was a factory worker.

MR. SHERRON D. REYNOLDS

Mr. Sherron D. Reynolds age 70 of Jamestown, TN passed away on December 18, 2018 at the Jamestown Regional Medical Center surrounded by family and friends.

Mr. Reynolds was born April 12, 1948 in Byrdstown, TN to the late Willard Reynolds and Gladys Brown Ledbetter.  He was a loving father, grandfather, and a friend to all that knew him.

Mr. Reynolds is survived by four sons, Shannon Reynolds and wife Sherry, Payton Reynolds, Tyler Reynolds and Brandon Ford; two daughters, Mickie Gunter and Sherri Durham and husband Jeffy; two sisters, Linda Stinson and Kay Storie; friend of the family, Oshea Wiggins; ten grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a  host of family and friends….

Reverend Charles E. Gibbs Jr.

The Reverend Charles E. Gibbs, Jr. went home to be with the Lord on December 22, 2018. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Cookeville, Tennessee, where he taught a co-educational senior adult Sunday school class. Prior to his retirement in 2010, he spent nearly 60 years in the Ministry, primarily as a pastor.

Rev. Gibbs grew up in Birmingham, Alabama, and attended the Hampton-Dubose Academy in Zellwood, Florida, beginning his Christian education. He was called by God to the Gospel Ministry while still in high school, and was licensed to preach in 1952 by the Norwood Baptist Church in Birmingham, Alabama. He then attended Columbia Bible College (now Columbia International University) in Columbia, South Carolina, where he met the love of his life, Carol Jean Kennerly, his wife of 59 years. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Education in 1957, and then attended the Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Charles and Carol were married in 1959, and attended Seminary together until Charles graduated in 1961 with an advanced degree in Divinity. He was ordained into the Gospel Ministry in 1961 by the Dawson Memorial Baptist Church of Birmingham, Alabama, and moved to his first church, Collinsville Baptist Church of Collinsville, Alabama, where he served as pastor from until 1966. He was very active in local activities as Chairman of Evangelism and the Director of the Samford University Extension Center for the Dekalb Baptist Association….
