BENJAMIN LEON FIKE

Benjamin Leon Fike, age 88, of Jamestown, passed away Monday, January 8, 2018 at Tennova Healthcare of Jamestown.

Mr. Fike was an active member of First Baptist Church, Jamestown and American Legion Post 137.  He worked at the K-25 plant in Oak Ridge for 40 years.  He was involved with Tennessee Baptist Disaster Relief for many years. He enjoyed all sporting events, especially his Tennessee Vols.

Mr. Fike is survived by wife of 64 years, Thelma Charlene Ledford Fike; four children, Connie Rains and husband Kenny, Betty Griskin and husband Brent, Brenda Hatcher and husband Monty and Donnie Fike and wife Karen; eleven grandchildren, Jason Rains, Johnny Blymiller, Josh Rains, Sherry Blymiller, Ryan Blymiller, Holden Hatcher, Cody Fike, Haylee Hatcher, Collyn Fike, Harrison Hatcher and Kristen Fike; eleven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Hazel Franklin and Maude Richards; brother, Frank Fike and wife Billie Jean; special caregiver, Talina Butler; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Mr. Fike was preceded in death by parents, Benjamin Cleon Fike and Arvasine Fike Ramsey; two sisters, Eva Moore and Gladys Fike; and son, Thomas Leon Fike.

Funeral services were held Thursday, January 11, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Mundy Funeral Home with grave side services following Friday, January 12, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. (Central Time) at the Bookwalter Cemetery in Knoxville.  Military services were conducted at grave side by American Legion Post 137.  Pallbearers included Jason Rains, Johnny Blymiller, Josh Rains, Holden Hatcher, Cody Fike, Harrison Hatcher and Collyn Fike.

Mundy Funeral Home of Jamestown, Tennessee was in charge of services.

ANTHONY R. MANGRUM

Anthony R. Mangrum, age 59, of Jamestown, passed away Monday, January 8, 2018 at Tennova Healthcare of Jamestown.

Mr. Mangrum was born November 21, 1958 in Nashville, Tennessee.  He was a Sheet Metal Worker and was an employee of A-Team Heating & Cooling.

Mr. Mangrum is survived by sister, Kathy Griffith; aunt, Geneva Lynch; cousin, Renee Clayborn; special friends, Jim Taylor, Ryan Yantz, Tim Smith and Rhonda Copeland, Michael Robbins and wife Lisa, Earl Sweat and family, Sophie, all employees at A-Team Heating and Cooling, all employees at Express Market; and a host of other family and friends.

Mr. Mangrum was preceded in death by father, Wymer Mangrum; and mother, Juanita (Hamm) Mangrum.

The family chose cremation with a memorial service at a later date.

Jennings Funeral Home of Jamestown, Tennessee was in charge of arrangements.

FRANK SHIRLEY

Frank Shirley, age 68, of Deer Lodge, TN, passed away Friday, January 5, 2018 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Shirley is survived by four sons, Sam Shirley of Texas, Mathew Shirley and Nathan Shirley both of Tennessee and Joshua Shirley and wife Autumn of Missouri; sister, Janet Gilbert of Florida; and four grandchildren.

Mr. Shirley was preceded in death by parents, Elmer and Irene Shirley; and sister, Christine Cadorette.

The family chose cremation, with a memorial service to be held at a later date.

Mundy Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

JOE H. PYLE

Joe H. Pyle, age 69, of the Red Hill Community, passed away Monday, January 8, 2018 at his home.

Mr. Pyle was born June 29, 1948 in Jamestown, Tennessee.  He was a truck driver.

Mr. Pyle is survived by wife, Mary (Stephens) Pyle; two sons, Joey Pyle and wife Angie and Steven Pyle and wife Ellen; ten grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Brenda Gray; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Mr. Pyle was preceded in death by father, Cleatis Pyle; mother, Nona (Delk) Pyle; two brothers, Ray Pyle and Jim Pyle; and two sisters, Dean King and Bennie Pyle; and one infant brother.

Funeral services were held Thursday, January 11, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Jennings Funeral Home with Bro. Michael Ryan an Bro. Stephen Kirkman officiating.  Burial followed in the Stephens Cemetery.  Pallbearers included Seth Pyle, Tristan Pyle, Pacey Pyle, Jase Pyle, Jake Saltgaver, Tyler Lemon, Titus Hatfield and Isaac Kirkman.

M.C. PILE

M.C. Pile age 92 of Pall Mall, passed away Sunday, December 31, 2017 at his home.

Mr. Pile is survived by two sons, Darrell Pile and wife Lisa and Gerald Pile and wife Faye; two daughters, Jean Choate and husband Richard and Janice Alotaibi and husband Barjes; sisters-in-law, Barbara Pile and Elsie Pile; seven grandchildren, Mary Elizabeth Choate, Amanda Woody, Alicia Wright, Emily Thompson, Yasmine Williams, Adam Alotaibi and Malek Alotaibi; six great-grandchildren; and special caregivers, James Gilbert, Angie Stewart, Beth Stewart, Theresa Taylor and Maria Taylor.

Mr. Pile was preceded in death by wife, Mary Jane Pile; parents, Mack and Minnie Lee Pile; three brothers, Fred Pile, Allen Pile and Johnny Pile; and five sisters, Fonzie Patton, Ival Long, May Hatfield, Chloe Buck and Bonnie Crabtree.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Mundy Funeral Home with Bro. Greg Wright officiating.  Burial followed in the Wolf River Cemetery.  Military service was conducted at the graveside by American Legion Post 137.  Pallbearers included Adam Alotaibi, Malek Alotaibi, Bradley Thompson, Adam Woody, Greg Wright and James Gilbert.
