ROBERT L. CRABTREE

Robert L. Crabtree, age 76, of Jamestown, passed away Sunday, December 24, 2017 at Signature Health Care of Fentress County.

Mr. Crabtree was born May 1, 1941 in Jamestown, Tennessee.  He was a tool and die maker.

Mr. Crabtree is survived by three sons, Lonnie Crabtree and wife Rhonda, Tim Crabtree and Jeff Crabtree and wife Kathy; four grandchildren; and brother, Johnny Crabtree.

Mr. Crabtree was preceded in death by father, Mitchell Crabtree; and mother, Alta (Birch) Crabtree.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Jennings
Funeral Home with Bro. Earl Sweat officiating.  Burial followed in the Allardt Cemetery.  Pallbearers included Carl Foster, Tyler Smith, Dustin Gregory, Greg Atkins, Tyler Delk, and Matt Jones.

ARGIE DRAUGHON

Argie Draughon, age 86, of the Mt. Helen Community, passed away Friday, December 29, 2017 at Park West Hosptial.

Mr. Draughon was born September 10, 1931 in Oneida, Tennessee.  He was in the Army.

Mr. Draughon is survived by wife, Wilma Faye (Taubert) Draughon; two daughters, Judy Smith and husband Rick and Rhonda Draughon; son, Mark Draughon and wife Dana; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Mr. Draughon was preceded in death by father, Urias Draughon; mother, Mary (Whittenburg) Draughon; three sisters, Irene Smithers, Elsie Smithers and Loma Garrett; and four brothers, Everette Draughon, Ted Draughon, Elbert Draughon and Henry Draughon.

Funeral services were held Sunday, December 31, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Shirley Baptist Church with Bro. Brady Goad, Bro. Vernon Goad and Bro. Carlie Garrett officiating. Burial followed in the Fellowship Cemetery.  Graveside Military services were provided by American Legion Post 137.  Pallbearers included Jordan Smith, Brandon Draughon, Brandon Key, Douglas Garrett, Dwight Smithers and Jessie Ellis.  Honorary pallbearers included Carlie Garrett, William Garrett, Larry Draughon, Melvin Smithers, Anthony Draughon, Darren Draughon and Phillip Draughon.

BOBBIE JO HUFF

Bobbie Jo Huff, age 83, of Pall Mall, passed away Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at Signature Health Care of Fentress County.

Mrs. Huff was born May 22, 1934 in Forbus, Tennessee.  She was a factory worker.

Mrs. Huff is survived by son, Larry Huff; three daughters, Kay Cagle and husband Dave, Earlene Huff and Pamela Soloman; daughter-in-law, Debbie Huff; six grandchildren, Kimberly Slaven, Nicole Huff Franklin, Colby Huff and wife Katina, Samantha Soloman Castro, Tanya Taylor and husband Cliff and James Soloman Jr. and wife Jennifer; three step-grandchildren, Dave Cagle II, Michelle Richards and Lindsey Crowe; twelve great-grandchildren, Matthew Slaven and wife Abby, Brandon Slaven, Colton Crabtree, Kaitlyn Crabtree, Kennadee Solomon, Hayden Franklin, Averie Worley, Brandon Soloman, Anthony Sullivan, Elizabeth Sullivan, Samuel and Kaya Soloman; ten step-great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren, Liam and Logan Slaven, Bella, Mabel and Mallie Soloman, Kenley Sullivan and Ava and Alriyah Ransom; niece, Peggy (Crouch) Smith; special friend, Cheryl Fowler; sisters-in-law, Virginia Weaver, Margaret Wood, Margaret Huff and Lee West; and brothers-in-law, Johnny Huff, Gary Wood and Everett Mangus.

Mrs. Huff was preceded in death by husband, Beecher Huff; son, Gary Joe Huff; father and mother, Ed and Centralia Crouch; father and mother-in-law, Denis “Byrd” and Ina Huff; brothers, Jack Crouch and infant brother; sons-in-law, James Soloman and Louie Aregis; sisters-in-law, Bernice Mangus, Joann Huff and Bessie Crouch; brothers-in-law, Eugene Huff, Billy “Bear” Huff and Lannie Weaver.

Funeral services were held Friday, December 29, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Jennings Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Allen officiating.  Burial followed in the Huff Family Cemetery. Active pallbearers included Eddie Stinson, Scotty Upchurch, Cliff Taylor, Dave Cagle, Donald Strunk, Bill Davidson and Ricky Slaven.  Honorary pallbearers included Matthew Slaven, Brandon Slaven, Hayden Franklin, Gregory Weaver, Fred Fowler, Jim Huff, Jerry Dale
Huff, Tony Choate, David Slaven, Gary Wood and Roger Huff.

JOLINE MULLINIX

Joline Mullinix, age 80, of Jamestown, passed away Thursday, December 21, 2017 at Holmes Regional Medical Center in Melbourne, Florida.

Mrs. Mullinix was born August 24, 1937 in Jamestown, Tennessee.  She was a bookkeeper.

Mrs. Mullinix is survived by son, Logan Mullinix; daughter, Marilyn Roncati and husband Michael; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Michael King and Ben King and wife Doris; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Mullinix was preceded in death by husband, Gene Mullinix; son, Larry Mullinix; father, Raymond King; mother, Sylvia Edith (Tinch) King; and two sisters, Joyce Jones and Faye Stricklett.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Jennings Funeral Home with Sister Darlene Shadrick and Scott Mullinix officiating.  Burial followed in the Allardt Cemetery.  Pallbearers included Eric Mullinix, Scott Mullinix, Jordan Mullinix, Logan Mullinix, Logan Mullinix II and Ben King.

LANNY VOILES

Lanny Voiles, age 67, of Jamestown, passed away Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at Signature Health Care of Fentress County.

Mr. Voiles was born January 24, 1950 in Oneida, Tennessee.  He was a cab driver.

Mr. Voiles is survived by two sons, Brian Voiles and Chris Voiles and wife Sheri; two grandsons, Trystan Voiles and Peyton Voiles; brother, Tommy Joe Voiles; and mother of his children, Carmen Conatser.

Mr. Voiles was preceded in death by father, Cecil A. Voiles; mother, Lucille (Chitwood) Voiles; sister, Sandra Tompkins; and brother, Nathan Voiles.

Funeral services were held Saturday, December 30, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Jennings Funeral Home with Bro. Woodie Hurst officiating.  Burial followed in the
Fellowship Cemetery.  Pallbearers included Trystan Voiles, Peyton Voiles, Chris Voiles and Brian Voiles.

Bro. EUGENE JAMES WRIGHT

Bro. Eugene James Wright, age 89, of Jamestown, passed away Monday, December 25, 2017 at his home.

Mr. Wright was born October 16, 1928 in Jamestown, Tennessee.  He was an electrician.

Mr. Wright is survived by wife, Nell (Hurst) Wright; two daughters, Debbie Tipton and husband Luke and Lisa Harris and husband Troy; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.

Mr. Wright was preceded in death by father, David Wright; mother, Nova (King) Wright; three sisters, Pearl Linder, Ethel Beaty and Earlene Doss; and five brothers, Haskel Wright, Wilburn Wright, Fred Wright, Elgin Wright and Ray Wright.

Funeral services were held Thursday, December 28, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Crossroads Freewill Baptist Church with Bro. Shayne Monday officiating.  Burial followed in the Wright’s Chapel Cemetery.  Pallbearers included Perry Delk, Michael O. Wright, Patrick Flowers, Austin Choate, Lucas Tipton, and Jeremiah Voiles.
