LARRY DALE CROCKETT

Larry Dale Crockett, age 74, of Jamestown, passed away Thursday, February 22, 2018 at Signature Healthcare of Fentress County.

Mr. Crockett is survived by four brothers, Terry Crockett, Gary Crockett and wife Brenda, Bill Crockett and wife Janet and Johnny Crockett and wife Becky; two sisters, Pamela Maynord and husband Randy and Patricia Ritter and husband David; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Mr. Crockett was preceded in death by parents, Oneal and Gladys Crockett; and brother, Richard Crockett.

Funeral services were held Sunday, February 25, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Mundy Funeral Home with Bro. Randy Maynord and Darrin Crockett officiating.  Burial followed in the Allardt Cemetery.  Active pallbearers included Jason Crockett, James Crockett, Alex Crockett, Tyler Crockett, Wesley Anderson and Darrin Crockett.  Honorary pallbearers included Gary Crockett, Bill Crockett, Johnny Crockett, David Ritter and Wes Clark.

ED EDWARDS

Ed Edwards, age 96, of the Roslin Community, passed away Monday, February 19, 2018 at his home.

Mr. Edwards is survived by daughter, Marilyn Beaty and husband Roger; two sons, Buddy Edwards and wife Kathy and Bobby Edwards and wife Mik; brother, J.B. Edwards; three sisters, Wilma Ooten, Lucille Smith and Joyce Ellis; eight grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

Mr. Edwards was preceded in death by parents, William and Hattie Edwards; wife, Dorothy Edwards; infant son, Edwin
Edwards Jr., grandson, Steve Beaty; two brothers, Wallace Edwards and Fred Edwards; and two sisters, Jean Smith and Verley Asberry.

Funeral services were held Friday, February 23, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at the Mt. Calvary Baptist Church with Bro. Buddy Edwards officiating.  Burial followed in the Edwards Family Cemetery.   Military services were conducted at grave side by American Legion Post 137.  Pallbearers included Josh Edwards, Tracy Edwards, Jamie Edwards, Brother Edwards, Taylor Edwards, Gerald Buttrey, Levi Buttrey, David Tuggle, Dusty Huntley and Brock Beaty.

J.B. Edwards

J.B. Edwards, age 77, of Crossville, passed away Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at his home.

Mr. Edwards is survived by wife, Helen Edwards; daughter, Teresa Hinds; two sons, Glenn Edwards and wife Kimberly and Gary Edwards and wife Zehra; three sisters, Lucille Smith, Della Wooten and Joyce Ellis; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Mr. Edwards was preceded in death by parents,
William and Hattie Edwards; three brothers, Wallace Edwards, Fred Edwards and Ed Edwards; two sisters, Jean Smith and Verley Asberry; and granddaughters, Arielle Starr Edwards.

Funeral services were held Saturday, February 24, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church with Bro. Shaun Hinds and Bro. Buddy Edwards officiating.  Burial followed in the Edwards Family Cemetery.  Pallbearers included Brandon Wagner, Bryan Edwards, Dennis Edwards, Brent Edwards, Zubayr Edwards, Johnny Cooper, Daniel Scott, Brandon Edwards, David Brummitt and John Cooper.

LOIS FRANKLIN

Miss Lois Franklin, age 83, of Jamestown, passed away Saturday, February 17, 2018 at Signature Healthcare  of Fentress County.

Miss Franklin is survived by five brothers, Charles Franklin and wife Patty Jean, Bill Franklin, James Franklin, Jesse Franklin and wife Lounell and J.R. Franklin and wife Linda; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Miss Franklin was preceded in death by father, Oakley Franklin; mother, Myrtie Franklin; and three sisters, Thelma Williams, Edna Threet and Laura Goins.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Mundy Funeral Home with Bro. Sammie Dunford and Bro. Doyle Nance officiating.  Burial followed in the Fentress Memorial Gardens.  Pallbearers included Robert Arms, Pat Brown, Brite Cooper, Robert Cooper, Truman Creselious, Brian Franklin, Isaac Franklin and Tim Franklin.

Helen Dolores York

Helen Dolores York, 79 of Muncie, died Sunday evening, February 25, 2018 at Signature Healthcare of Muncie. She was born January 9, 1939 in Jamestown, TN and was the daughter of the late Daniel W. & Stella (Owens) Winningham.

Helen was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and sister. She loved being outside tending to her flowers and feeding the birds. Helen was a faithful member of Glad Tidings Church and retired from Rock Tenn after 32 years of service.

Helen is survived by her four children, Jerry R. York (Kim Jolley) of Selma, Jacqueline Marlow (Dean Masterson) of Crossville, TN, Susan Burke (Larry) of Muncie, and Rebecca Weir (Tim) of Muncie; six grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; a sister, Clata L. Finn of Crossville, TN; two brothers, Arnold Winningham (Dean) and Eugene Winningham both of Jamestown, TN. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Ray York; granddaughter, Laura Roberts; brother, Rodney Winningham; and a sister, Cleowanda Winningham.

Funeral Services for Helen will be held Friday, March 2, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Garden View Funeral Home with Pastor Kevin Holt officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery. JAMES R. WILSON

James R. Wilson, age 85, of Clarkrange, passed away Saturday, February 17, 2018 at Cumberland Medical Center.

Mr. Wilson was born November 7, 1932 in Wilder, Tennessee. He was an automotive parts factory worker.

Mr. Wilson is survived by wife, Eulean (Atkinson) Wilson; two sons, Joel Wilson and wife Tammy and Terry Wilson; two daughters, Debra Sue Appel and husband Kevin and Brenda Alderman and husband Terry; eight grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; sister, Dorothy Dehaven; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Mr. Wilson was preceded in death by father, Roy Lee Wilson; mother, Eunice (Swallows) Wilson; four brothers, Hulan Wilson, Harmon Wilson, Worley Wilson and Troy Wilson; and four sisters, Hazel Keesee, Noble Moretz, Cecile Sprouse and Charlene Fields.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. in the Clarkrange Chapel of Jennings Funeral Home with Bro. Alvin Copeland officiating.  Burial followed in the Campground Cemetery in Clarkrange.  Pallbearers included Johnny, Ryan, Aaron, Ronnie, Wade, Jake, Josh and Jason.
