Billy E. Brown, age 77, of Cookeville and formerly of Jamestown, passed away Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at his home.

Mr. Brown was born October 2, 1939 in Armathwaite, TN. He was a carpenter and also a factory worker.

Mr. Brown is survived by wife, Vena Allene (Choate) Brown; sons, Tim Brown & wife, Brenda and Billy Brown & wife, Cindy; daughters, LaDonna Smith & husband, James, Melanie Sells & fiance’ Darren Holmes; grandchildren, Justin Brown, Joshua Brown & wife, Selena, Austin Smith, Jared Smith, Aaron Guffey, Brittney Keith & husband, Joe, Sarah Sells, Dillion Brown, and Amanda Bledsoe; seven great-grandchildren, Lysander, Ryker, Liam, Cammie, Kayleigh, Madisyn and Emma.

Mr. Brown was preceded in death by father, Charles Parley Brown; mother, Ora Mae (Crabtree) Brown; brothers, Kenneth Brown, Horace Brown, Lloyd Brown, Grady Brown, Paul Brown, and C,P. Brown.

Funeral services were held Saturday, December 24, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Jennings Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jackie Reagan officiating. Burial followed in the Storie Cemetery in the Little Crab Community, TN. Pallbearers included Justin Brown, Joshua Brown, Austin Smith, Jared Smith, Aaron Guffey, and Dillion Brown.

Roger Brewer

Roger Brewer, age 58, of Jamestown, TN passed away Thursday, December 22, 2016 at Tennova Healthcare in Jamestown.

Mr. Brewer is survived by wife, Pat Brewer; son, Bradley Ervin; daughter, Chelsea Brewer; brother, Rick Brewer; and sister, Sarah Fritz.

The family has chosen Cremation.

Mr. Carmack was born September 24, 1972 in Mecklenburg County, NC. He was a Registered Nurse.

Mr. Carmack is survived by daughter, Cheyenne Craine; son, Gabriel Carmack; grandson, Roger Craine; cousin, Jammeson Barrett; aunt, Kathryn Agee; and uncle, J. D. Rector.

Mr. Carmack was preceded in death by father, Edward Henry Carmack; mother, Ethel Celia (Potter)Carmack; and numerous family members.

The family has chosen Cremation.

Mr. Davis was born November 20, 1958 in Jamestown, TN. He was a contractor and was in the Air Force.

W. of Jamestown and Julie Williams and husband, Jason of Ray City, GA; sons, Kevin Herring and wife, Debbie of Valdosta, GA and Mike Nazworth and wife, Joanie of Ray City, GA; seven grandchildren; sister, Gail Greer of Jamestown; brothers, Buster Davis and wife, Debbie of Jamestown, Dennis Davis of Jamestown, and Edgar Davis, Jr. and wife, Linda of Cookeville; sister, Lillie Price and husband, Jeff of Oneida; brother, Ricky Davis and wife, Anita of Jamestown; sister, Darlene West and husband, Joe of Jamestown, and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Mr. Davis was preceded in death by father, Edgar Harry Davis, Sr.; mother, Gracie (Davis) Davis; sister, Lorene Davis; sister, Sonia Middlebrook; and brother, Rex Davis.

Funeral services were held Saturday, December 24, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Fairview Baptist Church with Bro. John Gunter, Bro. Paul Carter and Bro. Cleo Hughes officiating. Burial followed in the Fairview Cemetery in Jamestown, TN. Pallbearers included Dennis Davis, Buster Davis, Edgar Davis, Jr., Roger King, C. W. Smith and Jason Williams. Honorary pallbearers included Ricky Davis, Jeff Price, Joe West, Herlan Hinds and Wheeler Smith.

Mr. Garrett was born June 10, 1950 in Fentress County, TN. He was a mechanic and farmer.

Mr. Garrett is survived by wife, Patsy (Clark) Garrett of Mt. Helen Community; sons, Wendell Garrett and wife, Pateresa of Lancing, TN and James Garrett and wife, Melinda of the Mt. Helen Community; daughter, Doris Roberts and husband, Chad of LaVergne, TN; son, Keith Garrett and wife, Tina of Jamestown; eight grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; brothers, William Garrett and wife, Arvina and Carlie Garrett and wife, Judy; sisters, Ann Morris and husband, Charles, Edna Blevins and husband, Roger; brothers-in-law, Lynn and Glen Clark and families; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Mr. Garrett was preceded in death by father, Loyd Garrett; mother, Loma (Draughn) Garrett; sister, Lona Garrett; one stillborn grandchild.

Funeral services were held Thursday, December 22, 2016 at 12:00 p.m. at Mt. Helen Baptist Church with Bro. Brady Goad and Bro. Guy Ainsworth officiating. Burial followed in the Mt. Helen Cemetery. Janie Pritchett, age 82, of Jamestown, TN, passed away Wednesday, December 21, 2016 of Signature Healthcare of Jamestown.

Mrs. Pritchett is survived by son, Darrell Pritchett & wife, Debbie; daughter, Debbie Childress; grandson, James Gilbert & wife, Amoreena; granddaughters, Cindy Jones, Holly Wright, and Hilary Davis & husband, Frank; great-grandchildren, Emily, Reed, Derrick, Heidi and William.

Mr. Stephens was born September 11, 1959 in Jamestown, TN. He was warehouse manager for home health supples.

Mr. Stephens is survived by wife, Lynn (Smith) Stephens; daughter, Lindsey Rebello and husband, Chris; son, Joshua Stephens and wife, Beth; daughter, Kelsey Stephens; granddaughter, Aria Rebello; father, Tommy Stephens, Sr.; brother, Jeff Stephens and wife, Cindy; sister, Marilyn Taylor; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Mr. Stephens was preceded in death by mother, Vesta Lois Stephens.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Jennings Funeral Homes Chapel with Bro. Tommy Duncan officiating. Burial followed in the Fentress Memorial Gardens. Dorothy Nell Turner, age 93, of Jamestown, passed away Friday, December 23, 2016 at Signature Healthcare of Fentress Co.

Mrs. Turner was born June 30, 1923 in Fentress Co., TN. She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Turner is survived by cousins, Tommy and Edward Clemons, Sue Reeves, Charles and Bonnie Brown, Dale Brown, Pauline Johnson; special friends, Karen Potter, Ruth and Sam Owens, June Crabtree, Frances Palmer Evans, Janie Todd, Kathy Hardy, Carol Patton and a host of other family and friends.

Mrs. Turner was preceded in death by husband, Narvis Turner; father, Will Carter; and mother, Gussie (Harris) Carter.

Funeral services were held Monday, December 26, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Jennings Funeral Home Chapel with Tommy Johnson officiating. Burial followed in the Fentress Memorial Gardens in Jamestown, TN. Billy Smith

Billy Smith, 82, of Dayton, passed away December 22, 2016.

Billy was born in Fentress County, TN on February 24, 1934 to the late Paul and Alta Smith. Billy was a self-employed carpenter. He was a member of Northridge Freewill Baptist Church and proudly served in the US Army. In his free time he enjoyed making anything he could with wood.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Paul Smith, Jr., Gene (Mildred) Smith, Jimmy (Lulu Rae) Smith; sisters, Evelyn Vaughn; and sister-in-law, Alice Gibson.

He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Myra Smith; sons, Darrell (Kristy) Smith, Bradley Smith; daughters, Myra (Bruce) Willis, Cheryl Jones, Sheila (Mike) Johnson, Kimberly (TR) Barnett; grandchildren, Brandy (Terry) Skluzak, Brittany Smith, Karly Smith, Patience Stearns, Mallie Smith, Andy (Danielle) Bierer, Billy Dixon, Alicia (Mike) Baumgardner, Scott (Danielle) Johnson, Michael (Angie) Johnson, Heather (Roy) Burger, Trey (Alyssa) Barnett, Kaleigh Barnett, great grandchildren, Brayden, Brianna, Tristan, Sadie, Madison, Aliyah, Mason, Avery, Maddie, Ava, Lylah, Presley, Ava Grace; sister in laws, Elizabeth (Bruce) Kilby, Jimmie Sue Crockett; and several other relatives and special friends.

Joyce Schroeder, age 68, of Jamestown, TN passed away Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at Signature Healthcare of Jamestown.

Mrs. Schroeder is survived by daughters, Sadonna Rogers, Denise Beaty, and Karen Flannary; brother, Marvin Radabaugh; sisters, Wanda Spears and Nancy Welch; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Schroeder was preceded in death by son, Steve Schroeder; parents, Edward and Mabel Radabaugh; and brother, Darold Radabaugh.
