MICHAEL EMMONS

Michael Emmons, age 72, of Jamestown, passed away Saturday, December 8, 2018 at Jamestown Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Emmons was born January 9, 1946 in San Francisco, CA.  He was in security/industry.

Mr. Emmons is survived by wife, Deanna (Denino) Emmons; two sons, James Bunch and Michael Emmons, Jr and wife Nancy; two daughters, Tina Hernandez and Theresa Young and husband Ricky; three step-sons, Robert Deem, Christopher Deem and Eric Gentz; ten grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends….

Ray T. Garrett

Muncie – Ray T. Garrett, 84, of Muncie, Indiana, passed away Thursday evening, December 6, 2018,at I.U. Health Ball Memorial Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He had experienced declining health in recent months, and was unable to recover from a recent fall he experienced at his home.

Ray was born on Friday, May 18, 1934, on a farm in Byrdstown, Tennessee along Wolf River. He was the son of Denny and Pearl (Flowers) Garrett and attended a small, one room schoolhouse at Red Hill. Ray lost his mother at a very early age and stayed home to cook and care for his siblings while his father worked. For this reason, he was only able to finish the 5th grade. Ray spent his boyhood hunting and fishing along the river, fueling his lifelong love of fishing. As a young boy, Ray mastered the art of wading out into the river and catching giant catfish from under rocks with his hands, some nearly as big as he was….

FONZIE PARRIS MCDONALD

Fonzie Parris McDonald age 100 died on December 11, 2018.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Arthur (John) McDonald; son, Mike McDonald; daughter, Ruth Harding; son-in-law, Richard Harding; son, Henry Lee McDonald; daughter-in-law, Kay McDonald; and granddaughter, Janet Swafford….

NANCY BURKE RAMSEY

Nancy Burke Ramsey of Kingston, TN passed away Monday, December 10 after a brief illness. She was born in the beautiful valley of the Cumberland Mountain Range in Speedwell, TN on Thanksgiving Day, November 26, 1925. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bradley B. Ramsey, parents Willard Glen and Daley Mae Maddox Burke, infant brother James Franklin Burke, sister Vivian Faye Beaty and brother Ray Allen Burke, in-laws Goldie and Bernice Shoffner, Senter and Mildred Ely, Tom and Barta Ramsey, and Aileen and Frank Earle of Middlesboro, KY….
