Helen Allred

Helen Allred, age 84, of Clarkrange passed away Sunday, August 12, 2018 at her home.

Mrs. Allred was born February 18, 1934 in Clarkrange, TN. She was a factory worker.

Mrs. Allred is survived by husband, Clayton Allred; daughters, Sue Muhsemann & husband, Wayne and Debbie Boeck & husband, Bob; son, Kenny Allred & wife, Gail; one granddaughter; two grandsons; three great-grandchildren; and sister, Mary (Smith) Jackoski and husband, Eddie.

Mrs. Allred was preceded in death by father, Oda Sherman Smith; mother, Tressie Marie (Hogue) Smith; brother, Robert Sherman Smith; and sister, Gloria (Smith) Rugland.


Barbara E. Gibson

Barbara E. Gibson, age 67, of Jamestown passed away Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at Park West Hospital in Knoxville.

Mrs. Gibson was born September 18, 1950 in Jamestown, TN. She was a factory worker.

Mrs. Gibson is survived by husband, Jimmy Gibson; son, Jamie Gibson & wife, Tammy; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brothers, Dean Peercy and Homer Peercy; and sister, Shelia Pecor and husband, George.

Mrs. Gibson was preceded in death by father, Wade Peercy; mother, Artha (Reagan) Peercy; son, Micheal Ray Gibson; daughter, Tammy Clark; three brothers; and five sisters.


Junior Pritchett

Junior Pritchett, age 88, of Clarkrange passed away Friday, August 17, 2018 at Pickett Co. Care & Rehab.

Mr. Pritchett was born September 14, 1929 in Fairview, TN. He was self employed in auto parts.

Mr. Pritchett is survived by sons, Larry Pritchett & wife, Eunice, Jimmy Pritchett & wife, Kathy, Rick Pritchett & wife, Patsy and Lynn Pritchett & wife, Heather; daughter, Linda Owens and husband, Carl; eleven grandchildren; twenty-eight great-grandchildren; brother, J.D. Pritchett and wife, Jewell.

Mr. Pritchett was preceded in death by wife, Cynthia (Matthews) Pritchett; father, Wheeler Pritchett; mother, Etter (Penticuff) Pritchett; brother, Bill Pritchett; sisters, Martha Lee Buck, Fonzie Hunt, Stella Hayes, Jessie Matthews and Vestie Alline Davis.


Clyde T. Wheeler

Clyde T. Wheeler, age 78, passed away August 6, 2018 at Dover, Delaware.

He was born May 31, 1940 in Fentress County, TN, son of the late Exen E. Wheeler and Myrtle M. (Tipton) Wheeler.

He is survived by a brother, Fay W. Wheeler of Crossville and two sisters, Betty Sue Voiles of Jamestown, TN and Dixie V. Connell of Dayton, Ohio.

In addition to his parents, he  is preceded in death by sister Doris Wheeler Jones, brothers Exen Wheeler Jr., William L. Wheeler, John M. Wheeler, Huston Wheeler and Zoral C. Wheeler, and sister Erlene Copeland.

He volunteed for service in the U.S. Air Force in August 1958.  After considerable training, he began performing duties in the strategic Air Command Missile Program as a heavy equipment/crane operator.  He continued in the heavy equipment field over the rest of his career.  He served several extended tours in Vietnam and a short tour in the Dominican Republic where hostilities had broken out.
