Officers with the Tennessee Wildlife Resource Agency were dispatched Monday evening (July 2) after a person was reported missing on Dale Hollow Lake.

According to TWRA Officer Craig Norris, the missing person’s incident was investigated as a drowning in the Eagle Creek area in Overton County. Witnesses reported that the individual had been swimming around the boat before he went missing.

Sadly, divers with the Overton County Rescue Squad retrieved the body of Aaron Miller, 20, of LaGrange, Indiana. He was located in the vicinity of the anchored boat in 20-25 feet of water.

Overton County Assistant Medical Examiner Chris Maisongale reported that the body has been sent to Nashville Medical Examiner for an autopsy.
