Fentress County Government Accepting Proposals For Repair & Replacement Of The Roof At The Fentress County Courthouse Located At 101 Main Street, Jamestown Tn. 38556

Specifications for proposals can be obtained between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Monday-Friday, Beginning October 1st Through October 9th, 2015 at the Fentress County Executive’s office located in the Courthouse at 101 Main Street, Jamestown, TN 38556. To have specifications e-mailed, contact Amanda Hicks, Executive Assistant, at 931-879-7713 or amandahicks@twlakes.net.

Proposals must be submitted to the County Executive’s office no later than 1:00 p.m. on Monday, October 19th, 2015. Any proposals submitted after 1:00 p.m. on October 19th, 2015 will NOT be accepted. Mailed proposals can be sent to the County Executive at 101 Main Street, P.O. Box 1128, Jamestown, TN 38556. Proposals must be in a sealed envelope clearly marked “Courthouse Roofing Project”. Proposals will be opened at 1:00 p.m. October 19th, 2015 in the small courtroom located on the center floor of the courthouse. All times listed are Central Standard Time.

Fentress County Government reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals. Fentress County reserves the right to cancel or postpone this request for proposals at any time after this notice or after the opening of proposals by publishing notice that it intends to cancel or postpone said invitation.

The property referenced above is also known as the Banner-Roslin School Property, owned by deed by Fentress County, Tennessee, a Tennessee Governmental Corporation, recorded at Deed Book, WDB7, Page 397 et seq, and which is no longer in use as a school and is not contemplated for use as a school by the Fentress County Board of Education, noticed by letter dated August 27, 2015, and vacated more than 60 days ago, by the prior leasing tenant, the South Fentress Community Center, a previously dissolved Tennessee non-profit Corporation. Under Section 00220 Part 1.01 Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA) Inspection and Management Plan Information, Bidders are hereby NOTICED that the management plan was not developed for project design purposes, neither during the use as a school nor thereafter, and that it is not made a part of the Contract to purchase said property, and that the use and interpretation of this information for any other purpose other than for use as a management plan while the property was used as a school only, shall be the sole responsibility of the using party.
