Injuries Reported In Traffic Accidents

Two separate traffic accidents last week resulted in the injury of at least three people, one seriously.

One person sustained serious injuries on Tuesday, March 10 in a three-vehicle accident in Clarkrange, and another sustained less-serious injuries.

According to reports, the accident occurred about 12:30 p.m. Tuesday on Highway 127, just south of the South Fentress Community Park, involving two SUVs and a passenger car.

Reports indicated that a Nissan Maxima, driven by Andrea Phillips of Jamestown, was traveling north when her vehicle crossed the center line and struck a southbound 2004 Nissan Armada, driven by Brandon Roberts of Crossville.

Following the impact, the Roberts vehicle left the roadway, flipped multiple times, struck a natural gas regulator causing a rupture in the gas line, and came to rest on its top.

The Phillips vehicle then struck a 2012 Ford Escape head-on, which was driven by Thomas Dyer of Sparta, before coming to a stop.
