Indictments Returned, Pleas Entered In Criminal Court



The January term of Criminal Court for Fentress County convened on Tuesday, January 16 with Judge Shayne Sexton on the Bench, with five pleas entered and one probation revocation hearing held.

Also, the Grand Jury convened and returned three indictments.

Robert Addair of 499 Pates Ford Road, Rickman, TN, entered a guilty plea to charges of Auto Burglary and Theft Over $1,000 and was ordered to serve 2 years in the Tennessee Department of Corrections.

Dale Junior Lyons of 1045 Bicknell Road, Clarkrange,  pled guilty to the charge of Sale of Counterfeit Controlled Substance and was ordered to serve 72 days in jail, was fined $1,000 and was placed on probation for 2 years.

Micky Thompson of 595 Helenwood Detour Road, Helenwood, TN, entered a guilty plea to the charge of Theft Over $1,000 and was ordered to serve 17 days in jail, make restitution of $100, and was placed on probation for 3 years.

MeKela Rich of 6603 S. York Hwy., Clarkrange, pled guilty to charges of Possession of Schedule II Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and was ordered to serve 148 days in jail and was placed on probation for 2 years.

In a probation revocation hearing, Tony Price of 1221 Tom Price Road, Jamestown, who had been convicted of Promotion of the Manufacture of Methamphetamine, had his probation revoked and he was ordered to serve the balance of a 5-year sentence in the Tennessee Department of Corrections.

The Grand Jury also met and returned three indictments, or true bills against the following individuals.

Leslie Pullins of 1045 Maynard Lane, Grimsley, on charges of Theft Over $10,000, Theft Over $500, Official Misconduct, and Forgery (2 counts)
