Guilty Pleas Entered, Probation Revoked, Indictments Returned

The July term of Criminal Court convened on Monday, July 7 in Fentress Coiunty with Judge Shayne Sexton on the Bench, with six guilty pleas heard, three indictments were returned, and one probation revocation hearing was held.

Dustin Conatser of 1123 Stinson Road, Jamestown, pled guilty to charges of Theft Over $500 (2 counts) and Theft Under $500 (2 counts) and was ordered to serve 2 years in a correctional facility.

Larry Reed of 1132 Al Gross Road, Crossville, TN, entered guilty pleas to charges of Theft Over $1,000 and Felonious Failure to Appear, and was ordered to serve 100 days in jail and was placed on probation for 2 years.

Regina Pritchard of 315-A Clark Street, Jamestown, pled guilty to Attempt to Obtain Controlled Substance by Fraud, and was ordered to serve 7 days in jail, complete an in-patient drug rehab program, and was placed on robation for 2 years.

Crystal Deaton of 1640 Shirley Road, Allardt, entered a guilty plea to charges of Forgery (2 counts).

Corey Sharp of 130 Kathleen Road, Jamestown, pled guilty to the charge of Theft Over $500 and was ordered to serve 20 days in jail, make restitution of $100, and was placed on probation for 2 years, was ordered to pay $900 restitution and placed on probation for 3 years.

Jimmy Hamby of 232 Stockton Cemetery Road, Jamestown, entered a guilty plea to the charge of Violation of the Habitual Motor Vehicle Offender Bar and was ordered to serve 20 days in jail, and was placed on probation for 2 years.

In a probation revocation hearing, Portia Boggs of 621 Barney Holt Road, Jamestown, who had been convicted of Introduction of Controlled Substance Into a Jail, had probation revoked and was ordered to serve the balance of a 4-year sentence.

A true  bill, or indictment, was returned in the following cases:

Erin Pyle of 1040 Glenoby Road, Jamestown, and Calvin Richards of 7733 Plateau Road, Crossville, on the charge of Burglary & Theft Over $1,000.
