Ground Broken for CHS Expansion:

Fentress County Director of Schools and members of the Board of Education joined  faculty and staff of Clarkrange High School, architect B. Allen Hill of Upland Design Group, and contractors  on Tuesday morning, July 19 for a groundbreaking ceremony for a new 14,896 square foot addition to Clarkrange High School.  The new building will contain 5 classrooms –one dedicated Biology classroom/lab, one dedicated Chemistry classroom/lab, 2 ROTC classrooms, and one general purpose classroom, along with a shared multipurpose room.  The building will also include a teacher’s workroom and storage space for Chemistry, Biology, and ROTC.  The multipurpose room will have additional reinforcing and bracing to make it more storm resistant. Construction on the new addition is being done by Evans-Ailey Construction of Clinton, TN.
