Two Fentress County residents were recently named as the recipients of the Governor’s Volunteer Stars Award recipients, and were recognized Monday night during the Fentress Co. Commission meeting.  Above left, Jo Ella (Jody) Hancock was named as the Adult Volunteer for her community work as a member of the Fentress County Education and Community Enhancement Foundation, Fentress County Children’s Center, the Wolf River Methodist Church, and various activities assisting high school students.  Above right, Youth  Volunteer Star Award recipient Natalee Sturgill, for her volunteer work and involvement with the Tennessee 4-H, the Jr. BETA Club, Girl Scouts, and her church youth group.  Pictured presenting Ms. Hancock with a proclamation is First District County Commissioner Jimmy Johnson.  Presenting Miss Sturgill with her proclamation is Fifth District County Commissioner Larry Cooper.
