Funeral Services Held For Retired Educator Maxine Clark

Maxine Clark Color Scan-170121-0001-1Maxine (Wenger) Clark, age 94, of Jamestown passed away Friday, January 20, 2017 at Signature HealthCare of Fentress Co.

Mrs. Clark was born February 14, 1922 in Anadarko, OK. She was a retired educator with several years of service in the school system.

Mrs. Clark is survived by sons, Randy Clark & wife, Delilah, Ronnie Clark & wife, Ann, and Dr. Richard Clark & wife, Patricia; daughters, Marilyn Cantwell  and Sherillyn Wheeler & husband, John; thirteen grandchildren; and twenty great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Clark was preceded in death by husband, Chester B. Clark; father, Henry H. Wenger; mother, Laura (Wood) Wenger; brother, Henry H. Wenger; son-in-law, David Cantwell; grandson, Scott Rich; great-granddaughter, Caitlyn Akins.

Funeral service was held Sunday, January 22, 2017 at 4:00 p.m. at Jennings Funeral Homes Chapel with Bro. Sam Wood and Bro. Ernest Campbell officiating. Burial was held Monday, January 23, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. at George Wood Family Cemetery in Jamestown, TN. Pallbearers included Patrick Clark, Brian Clark, Jason Clark, Ronald Clark, Wesley Clark and Randall Clark. Honorary pallbearers included Billy Jennings, Thomas Flowers, Howard Choate, Ron Crabtree, Jeff Robbins, Jim Buck, John Robbins, Roy T. Smith, Robert Warden, Ricky Roysden, Larry Lafferty, Frank Smith and Derick Huff.

Jennings Funeral Home of Jamestown, Tennessee was in charge of the services.
