The residence of Marty and Tina Brown at 1828 Roanoke Road, Jamestown, was completely destroyed by fire early Sunday morning, July 24.  The E-911 Communications Center received a call shortly after 1:30 a.m. Sunday, and dispatched units from Grimsley and Jamestown to the scene, but by the time they arrived, the home was completely engulfed in flames, and neither the structure nor its contents could be saved.  In addition to Fire Department Units 1, 2, and 3, other emergency agencies responding to the fire were the Fentress Co. Sheriff’s Department, Fentress County EMA, Fentress Co. Red Cross, and Volunteer Energy Cooperative.
