Fentress County Commission Accepts Low Bid For New E-911 Complex



The Fentress County Com-mission met in regular monthly session on Monday, July 15 and took action on a number of items of business, including the acceptance of the low bid for the new E-911 Complex.
With all members present, the session was called to order by County Executive/Chairman Frank Smith, followed by the presentation of Colors by the Clarkrange JROTC, the Pledge to the Flag led by Commissioner Leonard Bilbrey, and opening prayer by Commissioner Ray Buck.
After approval of Notaries and the minutes of the June 10, June 16, and June 27, 2013 minutes, Bob Pile gave an update on the old Pall Mall School demolition project, stating that an environmental assessment had been done, and everything was proceeding to accept bids for the demolition of the building as part of the process to turn the property back over to the State of Tennessee.  The state will reimburse the county for the cost of the demolition.
