Escapee Recaptured After Fleeing from Eye Center

Arrests22455FA Cumberland County man  who fled authorities after being taken for medical treatment was recaptured last Wednesday after a 6-hour manhunt.

On June 24, about 1 p.m. Robert Graham, 34, of 1277 Stanley Street, Crosville, TN, who was an inmate at the Fentress County Jail and had been taken to the Eye Centers of Tennessee for treatment, reportedly ran from the facility and the deputy lost sight of him once he jumped the fence behind the business.

A massive search was conducted of the area which involved several area agencies,  Mr. Graham was recaptured without incident about 7 p.m. just a short distance from where he originally fled.

He was transported back to the Fentress County Jail, where he was being held without bond, pending a hearing in Sessions Court.

Mr. Graham had originally been charged with Simple Assault, Theft Under $500, Aggravated Domestic Assault, False Imprisonment, Aggravated Burglary, and Theft Over $1,000.

He now faces additional charges of Escape and Evading Arrest.
