E-911 Board Appointments, Sale of Taubert Property Among Topics of County Commission Meeting

The Fentress Co. Commission  met Monday, October 17 in regular monthly session and took action on a number of items in a rather brief and routine meeting.

Following the routine opening items and the approval of the minutes of the previous session, the first order of business, was  approval of a motion by Larry Cooper, seconded by Kim Davidson of the Title VI Resolution which states that no person shall, on the ground of race, color, or national origin be excluded from participating in, be denied the benefits of or be subjected to discrimination under any program or activity receiving federal financial assistance.  This motion passed without opposition.

Commissioner Davidson then made a motion, which also passed by a unanimous vote, to approve the use and occupancy agreement between Fentress County and the Fentress County Industrial Development Board which grants office space to the ID Board in the courthouse.

The next order of business was approval of some surplus computer and electronic equipment from the Veterans Service Office and donate them to the Economic Development Conference Room 201.
