Laptop Lab Classes At The Library

Bariatric Surgery Support Group To Meet Each Month

If you have had bariatric surgery, or are interested in having surgery, the Centennial Center for the Treatment of Obesity will be having a support group the first Monday of each month at the Alvin C. York Agricultural Institute Library beginning at 6 p.m.

This Centennial self help support group is a community of equals that share a common bond of caring and supporting each other’s unique weight loss journey.  Regardless where you have had your procedure, everyone is welcome.

February 2^nd

• Fentress County Amateur Radio ?Club will offer classes for the entry level (Technician) Amateur Radio License in the month of February.  Tentative class schedule is February 2, 9 and 16 Classes will be held at the Jamestown First Baptist Church and will run from 6-8 p.m.  Classes for the General License level will run simultaneously if there is interest.

February 3^rd

• Red Cross Bloodmobile at the Jamestown Community Center from 12 Noon to 6 p.m.
• Friday Night Bluegrass February 3rd at the Pine Haven Community Center.  The featured band for this Friday night will be Mountain Rose. Doors open at 5:00 p.m. and music begins at 7:00 p.m.   There will also be a cake walk  Everyone is welcome.   Admission is free but a donation will be taken.  Concessions are always available.

February 4^th

• There will be a benefit for the Clarkrange Buffaloes Baseball Team, to go toward new uniforms, equipment and the field, on Saturday, February 4th at the Pine Haven Community Center.

Kitchen will open at 5:00 p.m. with plate lunches - lots of homemade cooking

Singing will begin at 6:00 p.m. with Leonard Anderson

Auction will begin at 7:00 p.m. with Jeff Green

Cake walk. 

All donations will be greatly appreciated.

February 6^th

• Boys County-wide soccer practice will move to YAI Soccer Field (weather permitting) beginning this Monday, February 6 and will be held Monday's, Tuesday's, Thursday's and Friday's from 4:00-5:00 p.m. through the end of the season.  Please remember to bring your shin guards. If you have any questions, please call David Robbins at (931) 265-8403 or Linda Collier at (931) 704-3711.

February 9^th

• The AARP Tax Aide will once again offer free tax help and preparation services at the Fentress County Library every Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. beginning February 9th.

To  more efficiently serve you, please call the library at 879-7512 to make an appointment and if available please bring a copy of your 2010 tax return and necessary documents.

February 23rd

• Fire on the Mountain Revival to begin February 23rd to 26th and March 1st to 4th at the Sunbright Church of God of Prophecy, 1 mile south of Sunbright on Hwy. 27.  Meetings at 7:00 p.m. nightly, 6:00 p.m. on Sundays.  Pastor Jerry Robbins and congregation invites everyone to attend.
