Clarkrange Splits With Jackson Co.

The Clarkrnge Basketball teams hosted Jackson County on Friday, February 1 in their final regular season home game, during which was also Senior Night.

In the girls’ game, the Lady Buffaloes crushed the Lady Blue Devils for the second time this year, going on a first period scoring stampede to take a 34-2 lead, and continued to pull away through the second period, outscoring their visitors 30-6 to hold a 64-8 halftime lead.

In the first period, Chloe Howard scored 16 of her game-high 21 points, and added 5 more in the second period.

With Clarkrange reserves playing the entire second half, Jackson County held an 11-6 lead in the third period, but Clarkrange came back to hold an 11-7 advantage in the fourth period to take the 55-point win.

Gracie Bush scored 13 points in the first half, including three 3-pointers, and Kassie Monday added 10 first half points.

Lexi Pierce added 12 points, of which 9 came in the second half.

MacKenzie Pile addied 7, Kaylie Monday 6, and Reece Stover, Amber Peterson and Beth Conatser each adding 4 points.

Ericka Davidson paced Jackson County with 9 points, with Rachel Harris adding 6, Liza Dennis 5, Lilly Chaffin 4, and Hailey Russell 2 points.
