Legion Post 137 To Hold Fish Fry Fundraiser
SPECIAL NOTICE!
To all parents, husbands or wives who have children, husband or wife in the armed services fighting for our freedom and liberty.
American Legion Post 137 Jamestown, TN is in the process of building a post home which is nearing completion.
The Post is sponsoring a fish fry at the Post Building on Friday, July 17, 2009 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m.
The public is invited to come by and enjoy the event. Funds raised will be used to help pay for the construction of the Post home.
Until now, the veterans of World War I, World War II, Korea, and Vietnam had no Post home to return to, after fighting for our liberty and freedom, so the members of Post 137 decided to build a home Post for our service personnel.
In addition to the fish fry, there will be hot dogs, hamburgers and soft drinks.
The cost of a fish plate will be $8.00 for adults and $3.00 for children. Hamburgers are $2.50 and Hot Dogs are $1.50. All prices include the trimmings and drink.
There will also be plenty of Gospel and Bluegrass Music for the enjoyment of those attending.
Porter Penticuff, Past Commander of Post 137, commented: “Please come and help us celebrate this event, and give a donation if you can. All funds raised goes to pay on this building in honor of our comrades and sisters with a post home to return to.”
