The Fentress County Senior Bulldogs took the field on Saturday, August 20, 2016, for their second game of the season against the Monterey Wildcats, and came away with a major win 25 – 0.  A team usually improves from game 1 to game 2, and this was certainly the case for the Senior Bulldogs.  The Bulldogs made very few mistakes and played together as a team with the offense blocking consistently and the defense swarming on several team tackles.

The Bulldog running game dominated, running the ball strong, hard, and fast.  With great blocking from the offensive line and receivers, the Bulldogs scored on their first 3 possessions, controlling the game from start to finish.  With a strong push by the defensive line, and quick, significant response from the linebackers and secondary, the defense held the Wildcats scoreless the entire game.

On the 3rd play for the Bulldog offense (5) Leffew scored the first touchdown of the game, running it in from 5 yards out.  The Bulldog defense with some strong, hard, hitting, force a Wildcat fumble and get the ball back for the offense.  On the second play of the drive (5) Leffew runs in a 2nd touchdown from 11 yards out, with the 1st quarter ending – Bulldogs 12, Wildcats 0.  Early in the second quarter, the Bulldog defense again stops the Wildcat offense and take over on downs in Monterey territory.  Outstanding blocking and strong running take the Bulldog offense from the Wildcat 34 yard line to score the 3rd touchdown of the game on a 17 yard touchdown run by (41) Helbig.  Bulldogs lead 18 – 0 and this was the score as the first half ended.

The second half began with the Bulldogs receiving the kick off and scoring on the second play of the drive with a 54 yard run by (8) Barger.  The extra point was run in by (5) Leffew to bring the score to 25-0, all Bulldogs.  The Senior Bulldogs stand at one loss and one win.  With continued outstanding coaching and the players continuing to play with such great spirit, enthusiasm and effort these Senior Bulldogs have a promising season ahead of them.  The Bulldogs third game will be Saturday, August 27, 2016, in Crossville against the Stone Memorial Panthers.  Come out fans and support your Fentress County Bulldogs.

junior3Bulldog Juniors Take 7-0 Win In Overtime

The Fentress County Junior Bulldogs took a 7-0 win Saturday, August 20, 2016 againt the Monterey Wildcats.

After a long, hard fought game Tucker Reagan ran in for the winning touchdown in overtime.

PeeWee4Pee Wee Bulldogs Trounce Wildcats in 40-6 Win

Pee Wee Bulldogs defeated the Monterey Wildcats 40-6 on Saturday.  Quarterback Brody Choate broke loose for a 40 yard touchdown run to open the scoring flood gates for the pee wees.  Choate and Nathanial Cobb both had a pair of touchdowns each. Landon Robbins and Garrison Garrett found the end zone as well behind the Bulldog’s strong offensive line play. Jayden Hargis, Logan Crabtree, Colson West, and Parker Cox dominated the Wildcats on the defensive line forcing 4 fumbles. The pee wees will square off against the defending league champions Stone Memorial Jr. Panthers on Saturday in Crossville.
