American Legion To Hold Benefit Auction Saturday, October 22

The American Legion Post 137 will be holding a benefit auction on Saturday, October 22, beginning at 12 noon at the  Post Building located on Ballpark Road.

The auction will be held to help our local veterans retire the debt on the legion building. They have paid down the original debt of $80,000 to just over $7,000 now, and this benefit will hopefully allow them to completely erase the debt, so that they can provide other services for our veterans.

There will be a lot of nice items, such as a Poulan chain saw, a Bass guitar and amplifier, 22 Rifle, Pickup ramps, Knives, Quilts, a Riding Lawn Mower, a Flatt & Scruggs framed poster, a 12-guage shotgun, a mandolin, a wood lathe, lawn mower jack, rebel collector’s knife, and much, much more, with more new new and used merchandise coming in daily.

The American Legion Post will also be serving lunch beginning at 11 a.m. prior to the start of the auction at noon.

All donations will be greatly appreciated, and monetary donations are tax deductable.

For more information or to donate, call Glen Creselious at 397-5486.

The auction will be conducted by Darren Rudd Auction, firm # 5506.
