Alex, the son of Johnny and Becky  Crockett and brother of Ty implemented a stellar campaign before and during the recent 2013 Tennessee 4-H Round-up at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville.   Advancing  out of the Eastern Region at the beginning of the week of 4-H Round Up, Alex’s  leadership skills, and ability to communicate effectively and connect with an audience of 300 teens  from throughout the state resulted in his election by his peers to the office of Tennessee 4-H president.
As president, Alex will serve as state ambassador for Tennessee 4-H traveling and networking throughout the country.  He will give leadership to the twenty-one members of the state council and have the opportunity to network  with the state 4-H staff to plan and implement state wide events including the 2014 Tennessee 4-H Round-Up.
Alex would like to thank everyone who has contributed to his growth as a leader over the past eight years.  Alex stated, “Without the help of my family, friends, teachers,  UT Extension staff and sponsors in Fentress County, I would have never been able to accomplish my goals, and I’m so thankful!”
