53rd Annual Rotary Club Horse Show Held July 20

Although the number of entries were down significantly from years, the 53rd Jamestown Rotary Club Horse Show, held Saturday, July 20 at the Fentress County Fairgrounds, saw a number of high quality entries.
The drop in numbers was attributed largely to a newly-imposed $25.00 federal inspection fee imposed on each entry.
The weather was near perfect for the 28-class event, which got underway shortly after 5 p.m. Cole and Chandler Brown, sons of Marty and Tina Brown, presented the Colors, and Kelsey Matthews sang the National Anthem, followed by invocation by Mark Justice..
While the numbers were down from previous years, which seems to be the trend this year, the quality was among the best, and Judge Mark West commented on the high quality of horses competing. For a full list of winners look In This Weeks Fentress Courier.
